Peoples Gymnasium"
This research recognizes the need for building
simulation/performance tools that can easily be integrated into the building
design process. The study examines available simulation tools and attempts
to determine why these tools are not used by building designers/architects.
The evaluation and analysis of the present condition of the building is
available and it suggests a thorough research methodology for creating a
new design that solves current usage of the building problems. Findings also
show that the best feature of integrated building design information frontend is its interface design and there is possible improvement for the City
Gymnasium.
Whether we admit it or not, the City's long-time functioning
gymnasium is in the a bad shape. Vandals , concrete breakage in different
corners of it and other criminal elements have used it at one time or
another as a stop-over for their nefarious activities in the past.
In the past decades
of continuos usage, the building's proper
maintenance had began to deteriorate. But there were developments led by
the local government to maintain its good condition. However , this was not
enough to satisfy the needs and demands of the people as volume of
population grow iin the community.
The City Peoples Gymnasium was one of the attractions of the
province then. It has since graced various Cagayan tourism promotion
magazines and newspapers back then. In short, it was a tourism attraction
by itself and like the Cagayan Sports Complex, locals and visitors could not
resist the lure of visiting and watching important events such as exhibition
games of known PBA players.
Dim-lighted, old equipments and with no assigned maintenance, the
lawless elements of the building made its reputation shun down. With
growing number of vehicles and lack required parking spaces for the users
couses traffic and conjunction every time an event is help there. With this
problems redevelopment of such needs to be define.

This early, it is already identified what are the possible solutions that
can be applied in designing a new gymnasium for the community.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM/OBJECTIVES OF THE SUDY

The aim of this study is to create a new design of the

Tuguegarao's landmark , the Peoples Gymnasium of the city.
To provide a safe , comfortable Leisure and Fun Facility
To provide and improve the quality of leisure experience
for the community and visitors.
To bring back prestige and glory for the community
gymnasium.
