Chapter
Document Usage
This chapter describes the relationship among different manuals in the
ZXG10-BSC (V2.95) document set. It also explains the method and order
of usage of these manuals to obtain information easily.
Most important is the Technical Manual that provides details about the
technical specifications and standards followed in this system. It is helpful
in understanding functionality of the whole system and makes it easier for
engineers to configure and operate.
Hardware Manual contains hardware details of the system including
description of cabinet, shelf, and board. It serves as a reference for
equipment installation and maintenance.
Installation Manual includes all the details of equipment installation and
instructions regarding how to make the system work efficiently.
Maintenance Manual serves as a reference for maintenance personnel to
maintain and troubleshoot the system.
Command Manual lists all the commands which can be used to configure
and maintain the system, using network management man machine tools.
Operation Manual provides the information about the operation and
configuration procedures of the system.
Order of Usage
ZTE recommends reading the Guide to Documentation first to understand
the documents architecture, purpose, contents, and usage of the ZXG10BSC (V2.95) document set.
To understand the functionality of the system, refer to Technical Manual
for technical details and Hardware Manual to understand the functions of
modules and boards. It also explains the connection relationship of
external interfaces, LED indicators, and DIP switch and jumper settings.
For correct installation and configuration of the system, refer to
Installation Manual.
For handling major and critical faults that interrupt the BTS services, refer
Maintenance Manual Routine Maintenance.
