Clint Eastwood is an actor, director, producer, musician, composer,

politician, and businessman. Eastwood was born on May 31, 1930 (86
years old) in San Francisco. He is the son of Clinton Eastwood Sr. and
Margaret Ruth Eastwood. Clinton Eastwood Sr. was a steel and migrant
worker. Margaret was a IMB factory worker. When Clint was born, the
hospital nurses nicknamed him Samson because he weighed 11 pounds
6 ounces. He has English, Scottish, Dutch and Irish ancestry and grew up
in a working class environment. Clint attended Piedmont Junior High
School but was asked to not enroll because he would ride his bike on the
sports field and tore up wet turf. He then attended Oakland Technical
High School, where the drama teachers encouraged him to take part in
plays but he was not interested. Jobs that he had were lifeguard, grocery
clerk, paper carrier, golf caddy, and forest firefighter. In 1951, he enrolled
at Seattle University but was then drafted to the US Army and was
assigned to Fort Ord in California as a swimming instructor and lifeguard.
The Universal film company was shooting in Fort Ord when
Eastwood was spotted by an enterprising assistant that invited him to meet
the director. The cameraman, Irving Glassberg arranged an audition under
Arthur Lubin, who was impressed by Clints appearance and stature at 6
4. Lubin disapproved of Eastwoods acting skills. He said, "He was quite
amateurish. He didn't know which way to turn or which way to go or do
anything". Eastwood was criticized for his stiff manner and saying his lines
through his teeth. A suggestion was made that he take drama classes. May
1954, he made his first real audition for Six Bridges to Cross but was
rejected. After so many unsuccessful auditions, he earned a small role in
Revenge of the Creature. Even though Eastwood was developing as an
actor, his contract with Universal was terminated in October 1955. Clint
was struggling without a formal contract even though Lubin handed him a
huge role in The First Traveling Saleslady and hired him for Escapade in
Japan.
Clint Eastwood served in the United States Army from 1951-1953. He
was ranked Corporal in the unit, USAG Fort Ord. Awards he received were
National Defense Service Medal and Legion of Honor. Clint was a
passenger on a Douglas AD bomber that crashed into the ocean near Point
Reyes because it ran out of fuel. He and the pilot swam 3 miles to safety
and escaped from the sinking aircraft.
On December 19, 1953 Eastwood married Margaret Neville Maggie
Johnson in Pasadena. They met on a blind-date months earlier. Clint was
involved in an affair (said to be lasted for 14 years) with Roxanne Tunis.
From this affair, his daughter Kimber Eastwood (who is his earliest
confirmed child) was born June 17, 1964. She was kept secret from the
public and known as Kimber Tunis until the National Enquirer revealed
her identity in July 1989. During Clints marriage with Johnson, he was
involved in many affairs, according to Patrick Mcgilligan. Clint and
Margaret had two children, Kyle Eastwood (born May 19, 1968) and Alison

Eastwood (born May 22,1972). Shortly after his daughter Alison was born,
he met Sondra Locke. Eastwood and Locke started living together while
filming for The Outlaw Josey Wales in 1975. By this time, Clint claimed to
have no relationship left with Maggie. Locke moved into the house that
Eastwood once shared with Johnson in Sherman Oaks but then felt
uncomfortable because, psychologically, it would always be Maggie's.
Then Eastwood and Locke decided to move to Bel-Air, where Locke went
through two abortions. The number of children that Clint has fathered is
undetermined, but has 7 confirmed children. With Roxanne Tunis, he has
one child who is Kimber Tunis (1964). He has two children with Johnson,
Kyle (1968) and Alison (1972). He also has another two children with
Jacelyn Reeves, Scott Reeves (1986) and Kathryn Reeves (1988). Clint also
has another child, Francesca Eastwood (1993) with Frances Fisher. Finally,
his last kid is Morgan Eastwood (1996) with Dina Ruiz.
Eastwood is a pianist and a composer. His favorite music is jazz,
blues, classical, classic rhythm and blues, and country-and-western music.
Although jazz was an important part of Clint, he didnt become a
professional musician but it influenced his son Kyle who is a successful
jazz bassist and composer. Also, Eastwood has his own Warner Bros.
Records-distributed imprint Malpaso Records, which has released all of the
scores of Eastwood's films from The Bridges of Madison County onward. He
also composed the film scores of Million Dollar Baby, Changeling, Flags of
Our Fathers, Hereafter, J. Edgar, Mystic River, Grace is Gone, and the
original piano compositions for In the Line of Fire. He also wrote and
performed the song heard over the credits for Gran Torino.
In the year 1992, Eastwood won Academy awards for Best Director
and Best Picture for the film Unforgiven and was nominated for Best actor
of this film. In 1994, he won the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award. He
was nominated for both Best Director and Best Picture for the film Mystic
River in 2003. For the film Million Dollar Baby, he won Best Director, Best
Picture and was nominated for Best Actor in 2004. For the film Letters from
Iwo Jima in 2006, he was nominated for Best Director and Best Picture.
Finally, in 2014, he was nominated for Best Picture in The American Sniper.
Eastwood has also received Golden Globe Awards, Directors Guild of
America Awards, and Peoples Choice Awards including others. Clint is one
of two people who have been nominated twice for Best Actor and Best
Director for the same film (Million Dollar Baby and Mystic River). February
2007, he became one of three living directors who have directed two
winning Best Picture films.

Million Dollar Baby is a movie directed by Clint Eastwood. This

movie is starring Hilary Swank, Morgan Freeman, and Clint Eastwood.
This movie is about Maggie Fitzgerald, who shows up in a run-down LA
gym called the Hit Pit, owned by Frankie Dunn. Frankie Dunn is an old
uncooperative and bad-tempered boxing trainer. Maggie asks Frankie
to train her but he turns her down. Although he tells her shes too old
to start a boxing career at her age, she still works out endlessly in his
gym. Frankie was being convinced by Eddie Scrap-Iron Dupris
(Frankies friend and employee), he was impressed with Maggies hard
work and decides to train her. After Maggies first fight, Frankie decides
to coach her. She began winning many of her lightweight bouts in
which she had first round knockouts. She then became known for her
knockouts and Frankie eventually put her in the junior welterweight
class. Her nose is broken in the first match. Frankie became close to
Maggie and bonded with her, substituting his estranged daughter with
her. Later, Frankie gets Maggie a $1 million match in Las Vegas
against Billie The Blue Bear the womens welterweight champion
who is a German ex-prostitute and has a reputation as a dirty fighter.
During the fight against Maggie and Billie, Maggie began to dominate.
Then after the bell sounded for the end of a round, Billie sucker
punches Maggie from behind and knocks her out. A corner stool was
placed improperly by Frankies assistant and Frankie cant pull it out of
the way in time, so Maggie lands on it hard which resulted in her with a
broken neck and leaving her a ventilator-dependent quadriplegic.
When Maggie is in a medical rehab center, she is looking forward to
her family visiting her. When her family arrives they are with an
attorney and are only concerned about transferring Maggies assets to
them. She then orders them to leave and threatened to sell the house
and inform the IRS of her mothers welfare fraud if she ever sees them
again. Later, she has an infected leg and undergoes an amputation.

She then asks Frankie if he can help her die and that she got

Scrap is watching him. Frankie finally tells Maggie the meaning of her
nickname that he gave her, Mo Chuisle which is Irish for my darling,
and my blood then he administered a fatal injection of adrenaline.
And he never returns to the gym.

Another movie directed by and starring Clint Eastwood is Gran

Torino. Clint plays as Walt Kowalski, a bad-tempered and
uncooperative, Korean War veteran, who is recently widowed after 50
years of marriage. The Detroit area he lives in is dominated by poor
Asian immigrants and gang violence. Already feeling isolated is an
addition of emotional detachment of his family. Walt suffers from
coughing fits and occasionally coughs up blood and lives alone with his
elderly dog. Walt disdains Roman Catholic Priest, Father Janovich when
he tries to comfort him. Walt eventually opens up to Father Janovich
and reveals that he is still haunted by memories of the war. The
Hmong Vang Lor family moves next door to Walt and initially wants
nothing to do with his new neighbors especially after he catches Thao
Vang attempting to steal his 1972 Ford Gran Torino. This was an
initiation into a Hmong gang run by Thaos cousin, Fong (Spider). The
gang is furious with Thaos failure to steal the car so they attack him,
but Walt chases them off with an M1 Garand rifle and earns the respect
of the Hmong community. To make amends, Thaos mother makes him
work for Walt, who makes him do odd work around the neighborhood
and the two form a mutual respect. Thaos sister, Sue then introduces
Walt to the Hmong culture and helps him bod with their community,
and they soon become more like family than his actual family. Walt
eventually visited the doctor regarding his cough fits and is informed
that he doesnt have very long left for him to live. Spiders gang tries
pressuring Thao continuously and assault him on his way home from
work. Walt goes to the gangs house and attacks a member as a

performing a drive by on Thaos home and he is injured and the gang
also kidnaps Sue and rape her. The members of the community refuse
to talk to the police. The next day, Thao asks Walt to help him get
revenge and Walt tells him to return later. Walt then went to buy a suit,
get a haircut and made a confession to Father Janovich. When Thao
returns, Walt takes him to the basement and gives him his Silver Star
Medal then locks Thao in the basement. He tells Thao he has been
haunted by the memory of killing an enemy soldier who was trying to
surrender and tells Thao he doesnt want him to be haunted by killing
someone especially how much of his life he has ahead of him. Later
that night he goes to the gangs house and they draw their weapons
on him. He draws the attention of the neighbors when he scolds them
and lists their crimes. He then puts a cigarette in his mouth and asks
for a light and puts his hand in his jacket then pulls his hand out
provocatively as if it were a gun. This causes the gang members to
shoot and kill Walt and as he fell to the ground his hand opens
revealing that he was unarmed. Walt gave Sue directions to let Thao
out of the basement and the drive to the scene in Walts Gran Torino,
where police tell them that the gang members have been arrested for
murder and the neighbors have all come forward as witnesses. Walts
family and most of the Hmong community attend his funeral which
surprises Walts family. Later his last will and testament is read and
leaves his family surprised that Walt left them with nothing. His house
went to the church and he gives Thao his cherished Gran Torino and
has only one condition that Thao doesnt modify it.
