1.0 Unpacking
1.1 We recommend Leaving the skid on packing until it is ready to be installed in the platform with
foundation. However, if it must be removed from packing, make sure to place it on supports
which elevate the skid high enough so the bottom of the skid shall not get damaged.
1.2 Inspect and note any damage. If any observed immediate report to the Supplier.
1.3 Remove the nails that the lid's top side carefully.
1.4 Remove the nails from all sides of the panel.
1.5 Connect the Sling and shackles to the Lifting hooks provided in the Skid Lift the Skid and place
in the Foundation or in the Storage Yard.
1.6 Do not use short straps which will cause higher side-loading on the lifting eyes.
1.7 Supports are required at four legs under the base plates.

Preservation

2.1

The GOODS will be supplied with proper preservation, which can be effective at least for 6
months and also provide necessary instructions to monitor and maintain the GOODS in healthy
condition.

2.2

The GOODS will be supplied with proper preservation to protect against corrosion and in
proper Sea-worthy packing (and properly secured on the carrier) to protect and avoid any
damage to GOODS during transportation, storage and handling.

2.3

Preservation procedure / inspection procedure for preservation of GOODS beyond six months
will be furnished if required by Customer.

2.4

All shipping units must be soundly packed for Shipment accordance with requirements of the
following instructions:

a) All openings to equipment, such as inlet and outlet piping, feed and discharge openings, etc; shall
be plugged, capped, or otherwise covered, to prevent damage or the entrance of moisture and dirt
or other potentially corrosive elements. Fragile items shall be wrapped in bubble wrap, plastic
cushioning, or some equally efficient cushioning material. We will not use shredded newsprint,
popcom, excelsior, or like material for wrapping.
b) Machined steel, iron surfaces, parts or tools with highly finished surfaces shall be protected
during shipment and storage periods by the application of suitable material. Such material should
be removed by non-hazardous GOODS so surfaces of flanges shall be accomplished with
temporary covers or gasket materials that will not "vulcanize" into the serrated grooves when
compressed with suitable securing fasteners and/or being exposed to heat.
