Reflex and Instinctive behaviors are innate behaviors that are inherited.
The reflex behavior is an automatic immediate response to stimuli while
instinctive behavior is evolved over many generations; it recognizes a
stimulus. In humans we have reflex behaviors like blinking of the eye,
pupil dilating or constricting depending on light intensity, shivering while
instinctive behavior would be a baby sucking response, crying, facial
expressions, maternal activities, courtship and mating. The controversy
however, is that humans have learned behavior and not instinctive.
Instinctive behavior is for primitive animals.
2.
None of them were reflexes because there was no other external stimuli
like touching or dropping water on them. They all involved the sense of
smell.

The mealworm moved toward the food and eat it and this is instinctive
behavior. This is important because it needs to feed to get nutrients into
the body for survival even though it is done very slowly.
5.
The mealworm responded by wriggling and then lying still in the water. It
exhibited a reflex behavior to the cold water and this is important because
it is a physical response to a direct stimulus.
