DEACON EXAMINING COUNCIL

The Deacon Examining Council will meet on Sunday, July 31
at 5:00 PM. All ordained men are encouraged to be a part of
this council.

ICE CREAM SOCIAL

There will be an ice cream social on August 7th following the
evening worship service. We need volunteers to make
homemade ice cream. If you cant make ice cream maybe you
could make a cake or cookies to go with the ice cream.

FLOWER CALENDAR
If you would like to place flowers in honor or memory of a
friend or family member, please call or come by the church
office to sign up and be sure the date you want is available.

JOHNNY PAYNES CONCERT

Many thanks to those of you who were able to attend last
Sunday nights time of music led by Johnny Payne.
Johnny, a native of Vidalia, Ga., resides here in
Bainbridge where he serves as Director of Worship at
Friendship House of Jesus Ministries and serves as
Worship Leader at the Grace Point Church in
Thomasville. Again, Johnny impressed us with his
musical gifts and humble Christian spirit. Please
remember to pray for Johnny as he continues to lead the
music and serve with the Friendship House of Jesus
Ministries.

I appreciate Hal Burrells willingness to lead worship for
me last week as Dian & I traveled to Fairhope, AL for our
granddaughters dedication service.

COOPER HOUSE NEEDS

The two story house located just beside the Sanctuary,
known as the Cooper House, is slated for removal or
demolition. In order to show it to prospective owners, we
must empty it of all FBC property stored there. The
Property Committee would like the Cooper house
emptied by the first of August.
Come by the church office to get a key to the Cooper
house. Enter and check each room. If you find items you
wish to save, please move them to an area of your choice.
If more space is needed, the block house nearby is
available to store what you need. Any items left in the
house after August 1 will be considered trash and
disposed.

I'm A Christian Now!

Sunday Nights @ 5:30 pm

This is a Bible Study for any child age 1st-5th grade who has professed
Jesus as Savior. Baptism is not a pre-requisite. It is a great jump start
for any kiddo to learn the basics of Christian faith. The lessons do
build, but the core content can stand alone. Don't let missing one or two
deter from the entire study!
We will meet again on July 31st! Please have your child complete
week 6&7 in their workbooks.

Thank you for praying for camp! We had a great time and learned so
much more about the peace and truth God gives to us!

Family Fun Night - Back to School Swim

August 10 @ 6:30 pm
Join us as we swim and eat pizza at the home of Avery and Mary Lynn
White located 110 Evans Street. No cost for this event.

Last month our students participated in a week long

mission camp. One night during the evening worship
rally, the camp pastor spoke and his main thesis was
this: prayer is to the church as fuel is to a fire. I
encourage everyone who reads these words to be
constantly praying for our church. Pray for the
leaders, the body, the pastor search team. Pray for
unity and clarity during our transition time. If we are
going to be a church that is on fire, then we need to
be a church that is on our knees praying for God to
bless this church body.

2016-2017
We are on the lookout for individuals and families that will join us as
we serve during our services. We need people for both Early and
Extended and age groups Babies-2s and 3s-5s. If you are willing to
serve, please let Stacey know!

AWANA

2016-2017
Please consider helping in our AWANA program this year! We have
several positions that need filled. Some are even more administrative
and don't require teaching. Start praying if God would have you serve
our church family in this way
