The Kuwait Shooting Federation will organize 13 th Asian Shooting Championship, Kuwait 2015 as per the “ISSF” & “ASC” Rules and Regulations.

5- Participation

Participation of shooters are as follows:

3-1.

Individual:

Three (3) shooters in each event and two (2) shooters MQS.

 

(MQS are only possible in Olympic Events)

3-2.

Awarding:

Gold, Silver and Bronze medal will be awarded to the Individuals and Team. Certificates of participation will be awarded to all participants including officials.

6- Entries & Quota Places

Entries are open for Asian Member Federations. The Quota Places for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games will be distributed as follows:

7- Rules and Regulations:

The competition will be conducted according to the ISSF and ASC Rules and Regulations. Detailed information is available on the Kuwait Shooting Sport Federation web site www.kssf.com.kw Equipment control will be conducted according to the ISSF and ASC Rules and Regulations using instruments and devices approved by the ISSF.

8- Protests:

The protest fee is 25€ (KD 9.500) and appeal fee is 50 € (KD19.000). If the protest is accepted, the payment will be refunded; otherwise the money will be retained by the Organizers. Protests and appeals should be in writing, using ISSF Protest Forms (available from the Organizers).

9- Late Entries:

Late entries can only be allowed according to the ISSF rules. Any Federation reducing the number of shooters/ or officials after the final entry deadline must pay all the applicable fees and costs including the entry fees according to the number of shooters and entries as indicated on the final entry forms originally received by the Organising Committee. If the applicable fees and costs are not paid, then no shooter of that Federation may participate in the Championship.

e. Final Hall (10m &50 m)

: 10 lanes of Sius Ascor

f. Clay Target Range (Including Final Range): 6 fields (Nasta & Mattarelli)

Accommodation costs should be paid by participant to hotel upon arrival.

Preliminary Hotel Reservation must be received by the organizing committee by 1 st August 2015. Final Hotel Reservation must be confirmed to the Organising committee by 2 nd October 2015.

Note: Do not send hotel reservation after the deadline as we cannot guarantee the rooms.

All prices are quoted on a per room basis per night to include breakfast. Final hotel reservation form should be sent to the Organizers by 2 nd October 2015 (Annex 5) in order to arrange the booking with the hotel. Payment will be done by each Federation to the hotel directly upon check in process.

14- Guns and Ammunition:

All information about shooters’ Guns and Ammunition must be declared and sent not later than 15 th September 2015 (Annex 8). Please submit the form fully completed and signed and stamped by the Federation. Please do not change the forms and do not use other forms. Incomplete or incorrect Forms will be returned, unprocessed. While in Kuwait, all guns and ammunition must be stored in the armoury at the shooting range. Delegations are advised that all teams and individuals/groups arriving separately should carry a signed and stamped copy of Annex 8 (Details Form for Guns and Ammunition) while both entering and departing Kuwait.

The storage of guns and ammunition in hotels and outside the shooting range is strictly prohibited. The armoury will be open to facilitate the arrival (as previously advised in Annex 4) of official teams until departure.

Ceremonies:

Medals’ ceremonies will take place daily as indicated in the provisional programme. All teams must bring one copy of their national anthem (CD) and three national flags (3 ) (1 x 2 m) and deposit them with the Organizing Committee during the team registration process.

The Technical Meeting will take place as follows:

Saturday, 2 nd November, 2015 Time: 11:00 Hrs. Location: Final Hall Range

Transportation/Airport:

Participating teams will be met and facilitated on arrival at Kuwait International Airport. Teams will proceed to the visa office (as necessary) and then clear immigration and security controls. Participants will be transported to the Olympic Shooting Complex to deposit their guns and then taken to their hotels. Transportation to and from hotels to the Range will be arranged by the Organizing Committee. A transportation timetable between the hotels and shooting complex will be available in the hotels. Participating Federations should confirm their departure timetable with the Organizers ( Annex 4 ) at least 48 hours prior to departure from Kuwait.

Weather

Temperatures during the period range from 7°C to 18°C. Average sunlight is 10 hours/day. Average humidity is 60%.

Visas

Entry Visas for participants who require them will be issued according to the procedures required by the State of Kuwait Immigration Authorities. Copies of visas will be sent to all participating Federations, who should go to the Visa Office in the airport on arrival to obtain the original copies that are presented to Immigration Control. Please Note: to receive the copy of the visa on time applicants must send copy of passport by email,not later than 2 nd September 2015

20- Equipment Control

Equipment control will be open to competitors as scheduled in the Programmed for the Championships in accordance with ISSF Rules and Regulations.

21- Registration and Payments

Registration, confirmation of entries, payments for entries and accommodation fees MUST be made to the Organizing Committee at the Registration Office at the range complex, on arrival. ‘Start’ numbers will only be issued after all accounts have been fully paid and receipted by the Organizers.

22- Exchange Rates and Local Currency

The currency of Kuwait is the Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD or KD). The exchange rate of the KD to the USD $ is approximately (3.39USD $ to 1 KD) in January 2015.

23- Internet facilities

WiFi internet, telephone and fax facilities will be available at the shooting complex.

24- Media Relations

On site media facilities will be available for accredited media personnel. The event will be covered by local and national media.

25- Medical Services

During the competition, the Organizers will provide first aid and paramedical cover. A medical doctor will be in attendance during competition hours.
