La historia del petr?leo mexicano entre 1901 y 1920 es una
saga fabulosa de geiseres catastr?ficos, como ese pozo que, in
controlado durante seis meses, reg? una fortuna de tres millones
que produjo hasta 1955 el 90% del petr?leo mexicano (lo que
basta para significar su importancia), est? constituida por la
cuenca de Tampico-Tuxpan y el distrito de ?bano-Panuco, re
gi?n conocida por el nombre evocador de Faja de Oro o Golden
