T-TESS Educator Standards


Standard 1:
Instructional Planning and Delivery

Teacher has an understanding of instructional planning/delivery.


Teachers instruction is standards-based, data-driven, differentiated instruction,
etc.

Standard 2:
Knowledge of Students and Student Learning

Teacher aims for high levels of learning, social-emotional development.


Teacher has achievement outcomes for all students.

Standard 3:
Content Knowledge and Expertise

Teachers have a comprehensive understanding of their content/discipline.

Standard 4:
Learning Environment

Teachers interact with students in respectful ways at all times.


Teachers make the students feel like that have a physically/emotionally safe,
supportive learning environment.

Standard 5:
Data-Driven Practice

Teachers use formal and informal methods to assess students growth.


Teachers review and analyze data to measure student progress.

Standard 6:
Professional Practices and Responsibilities

Teachers hold themselves to a high standard at all times.


Teachers reflect on their own teaching practices for improvement.
Teachers demonstrate integrity.
