Delegated with the authority and responsibility of the administration of

Reports directly to the Nurse VI and Nurse VII
h. Duties and Responsibility
Provides round the clock efficient, safe and therapeutically effective

perioperative nursing care

Implements and maintain the standards of patient care and nursing

documentation.
Implements effectively the hospital/nursing policies/SOP and guideline.
Provides an environment that is conducive to the physical, spiritual and

emotional well-being of patients and personnel.

Prepares and recommends budgets, APP( Annual Procurement Plan) and

PPMP (Project Procurement Management Plan).

Prepares accomplishment report, plans and program of the area.
Plans and supervises nursing related activities in the Operating Room.

inventories of linen, articles and equipment used in their respective units.

Under general supervision, performs safe transport and positioning of
patient, maintains cleanliness of the area, assists in the inventory of the
medical equipment and supplies, reprocessing of surgical instruments and

Do proper endorsement from the incoming shifts.
Maintains a therapeutic and safe environment for OR patients.
Assist personal and comfort needs of the patients.

Reprocessing of medical supplies and instruments.
Follow up of job orders status in the respective departments.
Monitors the functionality and inventory of the medical equipment
Maintains the Environmental Sanitation of the Operating Room.
Transport patient from the ward to OR and from the Operating room to
PACU, to ward and other units as prescribed.
Bring specimen to the laboratory.
Replace empty oxygen tanks at the OR and PACU.
Obtains drugs and medicines from the pharmacy with proper inspection
for expiration date and sterile supplies from the Central Supply Room for
OR use.
Ensures that proper Health Waste Management is implemented.
Transports the soiled linens to the Linen Section for laundry and obtains
the clean linens to maintain its availability in the OR.
