Working Time Approval - MSS

The view provides an overview of all approval items available for manager. The view
provides an option for mass approval and approve/reject individual entries in one single
view.

Substitutions Lane

The lane provides an


overview of all managers
who have substitutes
tasks to the logged in
user and quick access to
following applications:

Manage Substituion
Rules

Substitution Overview

Work Overview.

Substitutions Expanded Lane


This view provides an
overview of all managers
who have substituted the
tasks and can be used to
start the team specific
applications and employee
specific applications. The
view provides only people
view in Team card.

Org view of Team is


supported from Substitution
Overview application and
can be started from
Substitutions lane

Substitutions Overview
This application provides the
substitute with an interactive
view of managers team.
It allows the substitute to
start team level application
for the substituted manger
and also to start applications
for any employee or
organizational unit which the
manager has substituted to
them.

Manage Substitution Rule

This enables a manager to create new substitution rules.


It also allows the substitute to Take Over substitutions in the case of a Fill-In
scenario.

Work Overview POWL Inbox

All workflow and non workflow based approvals, that a substitute needs to
perform, can be done from the Work Overview POWL inbox.

Substitute Role

The Substitute Role SAP_MANAGER_MSS_SUBST_SR_UI5 is comprised of the


key applications Substitution Overview and Work Overview, that the substitute
(non manager) uses to work on behalf of the manager

Key features and Deployment options
MSS is based on SAP UI5 to provide efficient and consistent UI.
MSS is available on SAP NetWeaver Business Client and SAP NetWeaver Portal.
MSS in SAP NetWeaver Portal
There is no separate Business Package delivered for SAP Portal. Instead, customers have the option to upload the
PFCG backend Role to SAP Portal using the Role upload option in SAP NetWeaver Portal.
Customers who use UWL can continue to do so in SAP NetWeaver Portal but substitution of non-workflow based
Leave, CATS and Clock In/Out is not available in UWL.

ESS Application: Record Working Times Timesheet


HR Renewal 2.0, FP1

Displays an overview of all the pending timesheet approval items

Option for approval on summarized (timesheet) level or detail level

Option for mass approval

The PFCG role contains the ESS lanes-based landing page, which is a Suite Page Builder page that points to the
