Adherent to Republic Ad7722 or the Higher Education Act of 1994 and RA 10533 or the Enhanced
Basic Education Act of 2013, the "Commission has created measures to mitigate the impact of the full
implementation of K to 12 on Higher Education lnstitutions (HEls) and their staff, while leveraging the
Transition Period to invest in the future of higher education.

ln view of this, the CHED Central Office Kta llTransition Program Management Unit (PMU), in
coordination with CHED Regional Office V, is conducting a Regional Workshop on lnstitutional
Development and lnnovation Grants or lDlG (GMO 33, s. 2016) and Lifelong Learners' Program, this

Generally, the activity aims

to

disseminate information on the lnstitutional Development and

lnnovation Grants (lDlci and the Lifelong Leamers'Program during the Kto 12 Transition, then assist HEls
in crafting their concept papers for development and innovation projects, in time for the deadline this Julv 29.
2016. This is the 4tn Roadshow in the Bicol Region organized by the Commission pertinent to the Kto 12

fransition. The specific objectives are:

1) provide updates on the scholarships and grants under the K to12 Transition Program;
2) discuss new initiatives under the K to 12 Transition Frogram namely lDlG and the Lifelong
Learners' Program (Memo from the Chairperson dated May 10, 2016);
the workshop on crafting projeet concepts for development and innovation projects.

Every institution concerned is strongly encouraged to send its President, or in lieu of him/her, the

Vice President for Academic Affairs, VP for Administration or VP for Development (maximum of one
representative per HEI). Further, each school representative is advised to bring: 1) a laptop; 2) editable copy
of the forms/ templates on lDlG.

Registration is FREE. Travel and accommodation expenses of participants from public HEls shall be
charged from their local funds subject to adhered-to usual accounting rules and regulations, while those of
private HEls may have their own internal funding arrangement.
