Standing over here, I would like to give my greatest thanks to Allah the
Almighty, Who has been giving me and you all His Mercies and Blessings
without stopping days to days, hours to hours, even seconds to seconds.
Without those all, we will never be here to listen my short but important
speech. Then, Sholawat be to Muhammad, our messenger who has given us
many teachings to live in this world and hereafter.

In this good occasion, I would like to give a short speech about the
important of learning English. I dont want to talk too much how important
English is because all of us have known why we learn much English in the
class. I dont think that learning English is just to know how to read and
understand operating Handphone, computer, and many gadgets which all of
them are usually operated in English. I just convince you all that English is
regarded important because it gives us opportunity to open the closed thing
in this world.
A lot of things are being closed because we dont understand how to open it.
By understanding English, I do believe that we can open what we havent
opened yet. For instances, how to make peace in this world? I do believe
that peace in this world will only be achieved through discussion. Wars can
fight against wars because peace will never be gained by wars. Yes, only
honest discussion we will find the peace.
Furthermore, without English, the discussion is closed. Therefore, we should
understand English to open the discussion. It is enough. Dont talk too much
we can gain peace without knowing how to discuss in English to stop the war
in the world, do you?

Dear moeslem brother!
When we talk about youngsters, we often find in many articles and we
ourselves even witness the great role of youth participation in developing,
favoring, and supporting the development of nation . They are the hope of
nation who will carry out the struggle for sake the of brighter future of the
country. Similarly they are at the same time, the hope of Islamic religion will
strve for the sake of Islamic Teaching in the next, maintain the Islamic law,
who will safeguard the Moeslem Young generation at large from influence of
destructive western style of life, who will the leaders for the next. It was
yelled as: TODAY IS YOUNG TOMORROW WILL BE A LEADER.
This statement encourages us to pay attention to the young existence in the
future. By knowing all the facts we realize, how important role the young
have for the future. The youths supposedly symbolize the force never
become weak quickly. For this reason, the former president of Indonesia
Soekarno has once said: GIVE ME TEN YOUTHS WOULD SHAKE THE WORLD.
From this statement we can sum up that Soekarno appreciated the young
people more than the old. Why? Because they play significant roles, have
great potency and great energy that can be prided.
Dear Moslem brothers!
Therefore our religion enjoins us to be flexible Moslem leaders for society
who ultimately have to devote them selves for the development of Moslems
community at large. Ironically, in this sophisticated era we witness the
conducts of young people are always against the Islamic laws. We pay
attention to many young people who are not a ware of their education and
will be sadder if we see our Moslem brothers in our country behave badly
and intentionally avoiding Islamic teachings to follow western culture. We
can not imagine and describe what is going to happen in the next time if all
the young people are careless in this responsibility. We have to be aware that
the responsibility of nation developing and religion establishing depend on
us. By those considerations we should be very cautious with any destructive
western culture that would enter Islamic teaching.

My brothers! Las but not the last, I should like to cal you to prepare our
generation in order to be able to replace the old in the future. And I hope you
and all Moslem brothers wherever they are to abstain from bad action and
furthermore we have to develop our skill and potency to reach the bright
future.
I think its time for me to finish this speech begging your pardon, finally I say

Sebelum saya mulai menyampaikan pidato, saya mengharapkan kepada seluruh
hadirin (para pirsawan) untuk bersyukur kepada Allah, Tuhan kita, karena Dia telah
memberikan kepada kita rahmat yang meimpah-limpah, sehingga, oleh karena
rahmat itulah kita dapat berkumpul dalam pertemuan yang penuh damai ini.
Selanjutnya, secara khusus, shalawat dan salam kita sampaikan kepada Nabi kita
Muhammad SAW, rasul dan hambanya.
Dan saya ucapkan terima kasih kepada pembawa acara yang telah memberikan
waktu kepada saya yntuk berbicara pada hari ini dengan judul:

Saudara-saudara kaum muslimin yang terhormat!
Apabila kita berbicara tentang kaum muda, kita sering dapati dalam banyak artikel
(tulisan) dan kita sendiri bahkan menyaksikan peran partisipasi pemuda yang besar
dalam membangun, menymbang, dan mendukung perkembangan bangsa. Mereka
adalah harapan bangsa yang akan berjuang demi masa depan Negara yang lebih
cerah. Demikian juga, mereka dalam waktu yang sama merupakan harapan Islam,
yang akan berjuang demi ajaran Islam di hari esok, yang akan mempertahankan
undang-undang Islam, yang akan melindungi generasi muda Islam secara luas dari
pengaruh gaya hidup barat yang merusak, yag akan menjadi seorang pemimpin

pada masa selanjutnya, hal ini diteriakkan seperti: SEKARANG PEMUDA, BESOK
AKAN MENJADI PEMIMPIN.
Pernyataan ini mendorong kita untuk memperhatikan eksistensi pemuda di masa
datang. Pemuda dianggap melambangkan semangat yang baik tidak pernah
redup pemuda dianggap melambangkan keberanian yang tidak pernah
luntur . Pemuda dianggap melambangkan kekuatan yang tidak mudah hancur.
Karena alas an ini presiden pertama Soekarno, suatu ketika pernah berkata:
BERIKAN KEPADAKU SEPULUH PEMUDA, AKAN KU GONCANGKAN DUNIA. Dari
pernyataan ini kita dapat menyimpulkan bahwa Soekarno lebih menghargai pemuda
ketimbang orang tua. Mengapa? Karena mereka memainkan peranan yang jitu dan
mempunyai energi besar yang dapat dibanggakan.
Generasi muslim sekalian yang terhormat !
Karena itulah, agama kita menganjurkan agar kita menjadi seorang pemimpin Islam
yang fleksibel bagi masyarakat yang pada akhirnya harus mempersembahkan
sumbangan bagi perkembangan masyarakat Islam secara luas. Ironisnya, di era
yang canggih ini kita menyaksikan perbuatan kaum muda selalu bertentangan
dengan hukum-hukum Islam. Kita memperhatikan banyak kaum muda tikad sadar
akan pendidikan dan lebih sedih lagi jika kita perhatikan saudara-saudara kita kaum
muslimin di Negara kita berprilaku buruk dan mereka dengan sengaja menghindari
ajaran Islam dan mengikuti kebudayaan Barat. Kita tidak dapat membanyangkan
dan menggambarkan apa yang bakal terjadi di masa datang jika semua kaum muda
tidak memperhatikan tanggung jawab ini. Kita harus sadar bahwa tanggung jawab
membangun bangsa dan menegakkan agama bergantung pada kita. Dengan
beberapa pertimbangan itu harus kita begitu hati-hati terhadap kebudayaan Barat
yang merusak yang akan mewarnai ajaran Islam.
Saudara-saudara sekalian !
Terakhir namun tak kurang pentingnya, saya ingin mengajak saudara untuk
menyiapkan generasi muda kita agar mampu mengganti generasi tua di masa
depan. Dan saya mengharap kepada anda dan seluruh saudara-saudara kaum
muslimin di mana pun mereka berada agar menjaukan diri dari perbuatan yang
jelek dan selanjutnya kita harus mengembangkan skill dan potensi kita untuk
menggapai masa depan yang cerah.
Saya kira sudah saatnya bagi saya untuk mengakhiri pidato ini seraya mohon maf

National Education Day (HARDIKNAS)

Asslamualaikum wr. wb.

The honorable ones the principle of SMA Negeri 01 Tanjung, all teachers and
administration staff of SMA Negeri 01 Tanjung and all my friends from grade X till Xii.
Before I begin to give a speech, I would like to invite you to thank to Allah the Almighty,
Who has given us Mercy and Blessing, so we can meet together in this blessing place.
And also I don't forget to deliver sholawat and salam to our prophet Muhammad SAW,
Who has brought us from the darkness to the brightness, so we are always in the right
way.
Ladies and gentlemen
It be a great honour for me, to stand right here in front of you all to give a speech about
education under the title "What happen with our education?" in this National Education
Day or HARDIKNAS.
To begin this speech, I would ask you two things about our education. What happen
with our education? Is our education well enough or bad enough if we compere with
other country?
If you have ever heard about the news last year about our international education rank,
you would be surprised. As quoted form Education for All (EFA) Global Monitoring
Report 2011 which is published by UNESCO and launched in New York on Sunday,
1/3/2011, our international education rank is at 69th place from 129 surveyed countries
all over the world. This rank is lower than in 2010.
It opens a question that runs in my head, what happen with our education? Indonesia is
a great country with many talented young generations. It was undoubted again that
there are so many Indonesian students who win the international education Olympiads
such as mathematics, chemical, physics and other. But why our international education
rank is still low. So what happen with with our education?
Our government had made some policies which relate to the improvement of our
educational standard by improving the national examination (UN) standard which rise
year by year. Our government also made an effort to improve our educational standard
by improving the teachers' quality with a programme which well known as "Sertifikasi".
But why our education rank never change. So what happen with our with education?
Ladies and gentlemen
So what happen with our education?
But sooner I realize one thing. Our education rank actually depends on one thing, only
one thing. Our education rank depends on us. Good or bad the education of the
countries depend on their students. If we want to change our bad educational paradigm,

lets begin with change our perspective with the terms of education itself by keep trying,
keep studying, keep innovating, keep inventing for sake of our education.
Not much that I can say to day, just a few of words above that I can deliver to you at this
moment, thank a lot for your attention and I also ask forgiveness for my mistakes, and
the last I say:

Sebelum saya menyampaikan sebuah pidato, saya ingin mengjaka kalian untuk
bersyukur kehadiarat Allah yang maha kuasa, yang telah memberi kita rahmat dan
hidayah, sehingga kita bisa bertemu bersama di tempat yang di berkati ini. Dan juga
saya tidak lupa untuk menyampaikan sholawat dan salam kepada nabi kita Muhammad
SAW, yang telah membawa kita dari kegelapan ke ke jaman terang benerang, sehingga
kita selalu berada di jalan yang benar.
Hadirin yang terhormat
Menjadi kehormatan tersendiri bagi saya, untuk berdiri di sini di depan anda sekalian
untuk memberikan sebuah pidato tentang pendidikan berjudul "Ada apa dengan
pendidikan kita?" di hari pendidikan nasional atau HARDIKNAS ini.
Untuk memulai pidato ini, saya akan bertanya pada kalian dua hal tentang pendidikan
kita. Ada apa dengan pendidikan kita? Apakah pendidikan kita cukup baik atau cukup
buruk jika kita bandingkan dengan negara lain?
Jika anda sekalian pernah mendengar tentang berita tahun lalu tentang peringkat
internasional pendidikan kita, anda akan terkejut. Seperti di kutip dari Education for All
(EFA) Global Monitoring Report 2011 yang di keluarkan oleh UNESCO dan di
luncurkan di New York pada hari Senin, 1/3/2011, peringkat pendidikan internasional
kita berada pada tempat ke 69 dari 129 negara yang di survey di seluruh dunia.

Ini membuka sebuah pertanyaan yang berlarian di kepala saya, ada apa dengan
pendidikan kita? Indonesia adalah negara hebat dengan banyak generasi muda
bertalenta. Tidak diragukan lagi bahwa terdapat banyak siswa Indonesia yang
memenangkan olimpiade-olimpiade pendidikan internasional seperti matematik, kima,
fisika dan lainnya. Tetapi mengapa peringkat internasional pendidikan kita masih
rendah. Jadi ada apa dengan pendidikan kita?

Pemerintah kita telah membuat beberapa kebijakan yang berhubungan dengan

peningkatan standar pendidikan kita dengan meningkatkan patokan ujian nasional
(UN) yang meningkat tahun demi tahunnya. Pemerintah kita juga membuat sebuah
usaha untuk meningkatkan standar pendidikan kita dengan meningkatkan kualitas
guru-guru dengan sebuah program yang dikenal dengan "Sertifikasi". Tetapi mengapa
peringkat pendidikan kita tidak pernah berubah. Jadi ada apa dengan pendidikan kita?
Hadirin yang terhormat
Jadi ada apa dengan pendidikan kita?
Tetapi segera saya menyadari satu hal. Peringkat pendidikan kita sebenarnya
bergantung pada satu hal, hanya satu hal. Peringkat pendidikan kita tergantung pada
kita. Baik atau buruknya pendidikan suatu negara tergantung siswa-siswanya. Jika kita
ingin merubah paradigma buruk pendidikan kita, mari kita mulai dengan merubah
pandangan kita dengan istilah pendidikan itu sendiri dengan tetap mencoba, tetap
belajar, tetap berinovasi, tetap menemukan untuk kebaikan pendidikan kita.
Tidak banyak yang saya bisa katakan hari ini, hanya beberapa bait kata di atas yang
dapat saya sampaikan kepada kalian pada kesempatan kali ini, terima kasih banyak atas
perhatiannya dan saya minta maaf atas kesalahan-kesalahan saya dan akhir kata saya
ucapkan:

63rd Independence Day. In 63 years this nation has tasted its freedom. Struggle after struggle had
been done to obtain this freedom. Sweat and blood had been sacrificed by our heroes, our people,
so that the freedom could be realized. In 63 years, Indonesia has celebrated the Independence
Day. With honor, with joy, with happiness, and with the breeze of freedom right in our heart. And
in 63 years already, we have built this country. In sadness and happiness, in hope and despair, in
fate and love. Yes, 63 years. In that length of time Indonesia should have grown up in many
situations. In that length of time this country should have become one fabulous country and one
of the biggest nation with the richness of its cultures. But its sad, so sad to see our Indonesia
here nowadays where the civilians are poor, hungers in everywhere, corruption is in charge, our
economy is getting worst day by day. In that length of time Indonesia should have not face any
of those problems. Then why? Why the Land of Ibu Pertiwi that we loved so much is, becoming

Firstly, I would like to say thank you very much for the MC and juries who have given me
opportunity to deliver this English speech.
Ladies and Gentlemen;
It is a great honor for me to stand here and give a brief speech entitled Formal Education
in Indonesia
Brothers and Sisters;
Education system in our country is divided into two major parts, they are formal and
non-formal. A formal education is divided into three levels: primary, secondary and
tertiary education. While non-formal education is carried out for the learners who get
difficulties to meet the requirements in formal education. An example of non-formal
education is PLS (Pendidikan Luar Sekolah). Both formal and non-formal education aim
at establishing the education process in our country.
Ladies and Gentlemen;
As I have stated previously, formal education involves three levels: primary, secondary
and tertiary education. Before entering primary or elementary school, children in our
country usually have attended kindergarten, or known as Taman Kanak-kanak. But this
education is not compulsory for Indonesian citizens, as the aim of this is just to prepare
them for primary school.
Children ages 712 attend primary education at Elementary School or Sekolah Dasar.
This level of education is compulsory for all Indonesian citizens. Similar to education
systems in the U.S. and Australia, students must study for six years to complete this level.
Some schools offer an accelerated learning program, where students who perform well
can finish elementary school in five years.

The next level is secondary education. After graduating from elementary school, students
attend Middle School or Junior High School (Sekolah Menengah Pertama) for three years
from the age of 13-15. After three years of schooling and graduation, students may move
on to Senior High School. In Indonesia, this school is basically divided into two kinds:
SMA (Sekolah Menengah Atas) and SMK (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan). SMA is
different with SMK in their studies. The students at SMA are prepared to advance to
tertiary education or university, while students of SMK as a vocational school are
prepared to be ready to work after finishing their school without going to
university/college.
The last level of education in our country is tertiary education. Students who have
graduated from senior high school may attend to university or academy. They can choose
any kinds of university or academy based on their interests or scopes of knowledge, for
example majoring in English, Mathematics, or teacher training university.

Firstly,lets thank and pray to Allah almighty the most gracious and merciful,who has been giving us
mercies and blessings so,that we can meet and gather in this place in good condition without any troubles
and obstacles.I would also like to express my deepest gratitude and prayers to the beloved
prophet,Muhammad SAW.
Secondly,I dont forget to say thank you very much to the committe for giving me the opportunity to say a
few words at this event.In this occasion Id like to speak about SCIENCE.
As us know,science has a prominent position in our life.It is absolutely important so that we obligated to
look for science.Why I say that science is very important?Because life without science is like walking in
the darkness without any light.Life without science just like life without knowing its essence and its

purpose.By science we can protect ourself if someone inluences us to do the wrong thing.By science we
can defferenciate what is wrong and what is right.Dont ever let anybody deceive you!
Relating science with happiness,it has a connection actually.If we want to get happiness in this world we
must have science,because science will lead us into a good life,then if we want to get happiness in here
after,we must have science,especially the science of religion.Therefore,if we want to get happiness in the
world and here after we must have science.The thing that we must remember is that our science wont
have meaning if we dont practice it.Its no use studying so hard without practicing it.Thus,we must look for
science during living in the world until our breathing stops.No matter what the obstacle is,please look for
science from the crodle until the grave.

Speech On Health Is Wealth

Good afternoon teacher and all my fellow classmates.
Today, I would like to talk and with you all on a very important topic that is health is wealth. If you sit much of the
time, for most of the days and months, you are like a fish that does not swim and a bird that does not fly. If this goes
on, naturally the lazy fish and bird will not live healthy live, and neither will all of us. Long time ago, our great, great
grandparents kept strong and fit in their livelihood by hunting and farming, which included ploughing, planting,
harvesting, and running after the same fishes and birds. Today, most people suffer from all different kind of diseases
like high blood pressure, gout, heart attack and stress-related disease which cost the world billions of dollars. The
world should now stop eating and sleeping like a pig, and take on some exercises.
My teacher and fellow classmates,
Our topic today is about health is wealth. In fact, health is, at any moment in time,
more important than wealth. We will appreciate health more if financial is the only thing we have left. When we talk
about health is wealth. It is part of happiness, and with it, we can live longer, acquire more wealth, and contribute to
society. In sickness, everything goes haywire. Those who overlook health in their quest for wealth usually end up
losing both.
For a sports champion, health is their number one priority in their life. Even for a TV star, an air pilot, a doctor, a
school teacher, or anybody at all, health is second to none. As we gradually moving on with the good habits of
exercise, taking good healthy food and rest, we will experience changes in ourselves. Our outlook will be positive, our
mind will be alert, our eyes will sparkle with enthusiasm and intelligence, and we will live a most meaningful life.
The truth is good health does not take care of itself, and if we think it will, we may well lose it. We should exercise
everyday and do some.

Speech Friendship
Friendship is when they push when you need it, but never too hard and stand back when
the time is right but never too far and the true test of friendship is if youre willing to do it all
back in a heartbeat. Its when your life is so much better because your know them and they
bring out the best that lies within. Good morning fellow classmates and Mr Hampton. Today
I will be talking to you about friendship and the important role that it plays in our lives.People
today, in all this new world technology and thinking have lost sight of what a true friendship

is. No way do friends have to be exactly the same, I mean come on friends do have
similarities but they also have their differences. The key to opening up the world of
friendship is not just to focus on the similarities but to accept each others faults
because true friends do not judge each other. Friends love unconditionally. They do have
their little angry moments from time to time but at the end of the day all is forgiven and
forgotten. Why let something that happened in the past ruin what great friendship you could
have together in the
A true friendship has many memories, both good and bad, but all are important. When you
can look at them when something is wrong and they know it just by their eyes and all they
have to do is offer a hug and you feel a thousand times better. Friends can stay up all night
on the phone talking for hours without even realising it. When you know that they"tmd never
lie to you and would never hurt you and if they did you know that it would only be for your
benefit. Sometimes you wonder how she knew, but then you realize that"tms just how close
you are. They can make you laugh when skies are the darkest and they"tmre there with a
good movie and some popcorn when your totally depressed! There is a great deal to learn
about friendship. future You know you have a friend for life when they answer the phone at
one in the morning because you can"tmt sleep and have a lot on your mind and they

Friendship.
Friendship is important to all of us. Good friends are like gems. So, having good friends is like having

treasure. Whether young or old, all of us need friends to support us. We cannot live in this world
alone without having any friends as no man is an island. Friends are our companions to keep us
company during lonely times. Sometimes, friends also share our hobbies and interests.
We often need friends to be there for us during our happy and sad times. They would share our joy
and sadness with us. Friends will also be there for us to confide in. We can share our problems with
them as friends always lend us a sympathetic ear and a shoulder to cry on when we are down. Good
friends are always on our side to comfort and console us. They would always provide us with
encouragement. They will also support us in everything we do. When we fall, good friends are
always there to help us get back on our feet.
I would like to share about my very best friend whom I have known since I was in standard six,
Elyana , is a true friend indeed. She is always helpful and supportive towards me. She has been
with me through thick and thin. She is always there for me whenever I need a helping hand or a
listening ear. She has the qualities of a good friend. I really appreciate her for being there for me
whenever I needed her.
I have always been weak in the Science subject. I never scored well in Science but Elyana is an
expert in the subject. She seems to be able to understand everything that is taught in class. She
always score top marks in class for Science. Since I am weak in the subject, she often helps me with
my homework and projects. I could not have done it without Elyanas help. Due to her help and
guidance, I did well in all my Science exams. Not only did I pass, I scored good grades as well. Even
my parents were surprised with my improvement. I owe it to Elyana for being so patient with me. She
spent many afternoons at my house giving me extra tuition. I am so grateful to her.
She has taken a lot of trouble to help me with my studies. She never fails to lend me a helping hand
even she is busy with her own homework. One night, on the eve of the mid-yearexamination, she
studied with me and we burnt the midnight oil. I was very happy that Elyana was with me because I
needed the help as well as the moral support. I was not feeling confident about the examination, but
Elyana helped me with all the subjects that I was weak at. Thanks to her, I came in third in my midyear examinations and as always, Elyana was the first ranker.
I am lucky to have her as my best friend. Sadly, two years ago, I received a message by Elyanas
mother, that she has passed away because she had an accident. She was hit by a lorry when she

wanted to cross a road to buy food. I was really sad because she has been a part of my life. I will
never ever forget every single moment that I spent with her.
Friendship makes life more meaningful. Our lives could otherwise be lonely without friends because
friends make good company. Everyone needs to socialise as we cannot live alone. However,
friendship must not depend on money. Friendship that is based on money is not genuine. Friends
should accept one another based on their trust for each other and not because of their wealth.
In the nutshell, friends are the second most important thing for us next to family. For some, friends
are the most important people to them if they are not close to their family members. To them, their
friends are considered their family. So, they would turn to their friends for support and assistance if
they have any problems. Friendship is truly a lifeline, for without it, life would be lonely and less
meaningful.
