Doane EDU 699 Personal Project

For my personal project, I decided to focus on using movement and physical transformations in a
variety of ways to help my students relax and enhance their learning. I chose this project because I know
that it is something that I am bad at and also because I think it is something that will really help my
students.
The main way that I wanted to focus my project was on categorizing my movements and activities
into the different times they can be used. This way, I can think about what type of activity I want to do on
any particular day and just pick from my list of things I have already found. Some of the movements will
be used as starters, while others will be used as breaks in instructional time, and even some that are
finishers. I also came up with a few movements that can be turned into lessons themselves, making the
movement integrated into the knowledge I want the students to learn.

Starters will be used directly at the beginning of the class period. The main goal of these activities
should be to have students move on from other things that have happened throughout their day, leaving
them centered and focused on the upcoming math class.
