Madhogarh
Step into the battlefield...
Step into the venue of the famous battle of Tunga in 1787 AD where the royal army of
Jaipur showed its Rajputana valour to Marathas. Join the yearly festival in the
remembrance of the martyrs of that battle near the cenotaph of Bakhtawar Singh and
Sultan Singh.

What to look around for?

Get charmed by the marvellous architecture of Rajasthan as you descend the steps of
the stepwell or ascend the heights of the Madhogarh Fort. The stepwells are part of the
ancient method to preserve water for the dry days of summer. The cenotaphs tell the
tales of the brave warriors of Madhogarh. The 300 - years old Sita-Ramji and Gopalji
Temples situated in the heart of the city are an architectural delight for the onlooker.

What not to miss?

Madhogarh is famous for its pure cotton khadi clothes made here. You can also watch
the carpet weavers and saree workers in action. Join the potter making pots on his
wheel and the bangle maker handcrafting the beautiful bangles. Ride a camel or take a
horse safari to the wilds and watch blue bull, hyena, and jackals. You can also watch
peacocks and parrots while walking down the village lanes. The various temples
around are also worth a visit.
