PREFACE

First at all, give thanks for Gods love and grace for us.
Thanks to God for helping me and give me chance to finish this assighment timely. And I would like
to say thank you to Mr. Syamsul. S, S.Pd as the lecturer that always teaches us and give much
knowledge about how to practice English well.
This assighment is the one of English task that composed of Practical English Usage English As
Second Language I realized this assighment is not perfect. But I hope it can be useful for us. Critics
and suggestion is needed here to make this assighment be better.
Hopefully we as a student in State Polytechnic of Balikpapan can work more professional by using
English as the second language whatever we done. Thank you.

CHAPTER ONE

INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background
Language is very important in human life. Language is means of communication. Without a
language, a person cannot communicate with others. English is a language in the world.
People call it a international language. In our school, the English language has been given
since the fourth grade of the elementary school up to university.
Most people in the world from the different countries and nations speak language. Also, many
scientific studies such as education, science, religion, technology, commerce or politic are
written in the language.
Language includes four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing
in this section we want to applied three skills, we listen, we speak, and we write. we talk, ask,
and share with foreign people. And we can get many knowledge and experience about english
conversation.
1.2 Purpose of Interview

1.3 Method of English writing
Looking for foreign people in balikpapan city then ask them to talk and share some
conversation with us.
Looking for Mr. Arif Mufty then we ask him to make some interview about campus
of State Polytechnic of Balikpapan
Record the conversation as a documentation by using camera or recorder.
Write down the value of interview as assighment to complete our English task.

: Telecommunication is one of the fastest growing technologies. Nowadays

many of telcom provider in Indonesia already implemented the newest
tecnology of cellular communication, 4G LTE. We should very glad to have
such kind of lab so that our student conpetencies will come closer to the
"real world" outside there.

: i was graduated from polytechnic of north Sumatra and for my second
graduate, i was graduated from ITPS Surabaya. I do believe that im the
only one lecturer that graduated from polytechnic in Poltekba

: alhamdulillah, we found no difficulties in teaching the Poltekba's students
