Russellville, AL—Today, the Masterson Campaign released


documentation, which shows that State Rep. Johnny Mack
Morrow used over $75,000 in state tax dollars to make
improvements and hire a worker for Johnny Mackʼs farm. The
documentation was obtained by the campaign pursuant to the
open records laws of Alabama. The Masterson Campaign began
running a radio advertisement on Friday to inform House District
18 voters of Rep. Morrowʼs misuse of public funds.

“To be honest, I was astounded when I found out,” said Jeff


Masterson, Candidate for House District 18. “Our schools in
Franklin and Colbert counties are hurting and Johnny Mack is
spending our tax dollars on his farm.”

Rep. Morrow used his state discretionary funds to construct


buildings, install irrigation systems, and hire Jeff Emerson to do
work on Morrowʼs farm. Emerson is also an employee of the Bear
Creek Development Authority.

“The right thing for Johnny Mack to do is to give this desperately


need money back to the schools,” said Masterson. “Iʼm certain
our teachers can find a much more appropriate and responsible
way to spend $75,000 of our tax dollars.”
