Then all were invited into the school where Acorn class recited
The owl and the Pussycat by Edward Lear, most enjoyable and
as I remarked to a proud granddad sitting beside me, I was in my
twenties before I knew what a quince was and he shared he still did
not know what a runcible spoon was!
Oak Tree pupils then read poetry they had written after learning of
the horrors of war
The poetry was full of blood, mud and horror as were wars of that
time, although the conditions have changed a bit, the horror remains
as unfathomable.
The day was lovely and moving but i can not be clear as to the
answer to the title question.

Dear Editor,
It was with some amusement that i noticed
your carol concert poster in issue 74. Not
only not this years but 2012 ?? I scoured the
rest of the paper looking for the instructions
to build a tardis as i fancied attending but
was out of luck. Any chance of 2011 lottery
numbers nest issue ?.
Yours,
Bruce Bamthorpe
Reply From Editor.
Thank you for your letter Bruce. The
inclusion of a 2012 carol poster was not an
oversight. Infact it was a coded message
to the CRABTALES sleeper agents in
Scotland. They were placed there so that in
the event of a Scottish vote for independence
they were to rush to secure a five year supply
of Tunnocks wafer biscuits and head south
with all due haste.
It was pointed out that Tunnocks have a one
year shelf like so we decided to scrap the
idea. Many thanks for your vigilence.

The Norfolk Rivers Trust are looking for volunteers who can help them
plant trees along the Rivers Bure and Yare this winter. Trees are proving
to be essential in reducing the impacts of climate change on our national
waterways by stabilising water temperatures, buffering pollution and by
providing a steady food source.
By joining this initiative you will be helping Norfolks rivers adapt to the
threats faced by our changing climate, improving habitat for species such
as Brown Trout and the European Eel.
N.R.T are hoping to attract people of all ages with a spectrum of
tree planting experience. Whether you are looking to help preserve
your natural surroundings or you would like to gain practical work
experience, they would love you to get involved.
Preliminary dates are: December 16th, 17th and 18th and January 6th,
7th and 8th. Additionally, They would like to hear from you even if you
can not commit to any dates provided above and add you to our tree
planters list for the future.
You can contact directly at
liam@norfolkriverstrust.org
