April 2015

Analyzer Update

1 In this version
This release contains support for new and updated file formats. There are updates for most
technologies that Actix supports, with changes falling under the following categories:

New collection devices and improvements:

Added support for Nemo file-format version 2.22.

Added support for R&S version 4.84.

Added support for compressed AOD (AOC) format for JDSU.

Added support for Video Streaming in Nemo and Focus Infocom.

Application Layer

In Spotlight, separate KPIs have been added for CSFB LTEUMTS and CSFB
LTEGSM.

In LTE Scanner, a new stateform has been added to display ALL measured EARFCNs.

Platform improvements:

Multi-monitor support:

Added support for Floating windows, which can be placed outside of Analyzers
main window, including onto other monitors.

Fixed a defect where right-clicks in Attribute Explorer wouldnt always work


while Analyzers main window is expanded across multiple monitors.

Improvements to Use Format Group Colours feature in Attribute Spy.

Added Copy Full File Name feature to Attribute Explorer.

Added support for 64-bit values in Queries.

2 New collection device or technology support


2.1 Accuver support

An issue has been fixed that prevented Analyzer from setting the attribute
LTE_UE_Timing_Advance.

2.2 Ascom TEMS support

A problem has been resolved that prevented Analyzer from decoding GSM and LTE scanner
data in PCTEL IB Flex Scanner logfiles.
An issue has been fixed that caused Analyzer to set invalid values (mainly 0.00 kbps) of
the attribute RLC_Throughput_UL
An issue has been fixed that caused Analyzer to decode fewer samples than expected in
case of TEMS Pocket 13.0.2.16 logfiles when Load Time Filtering functionality is enabled.

2.3 Ding Li support

In LTE, added support for attributes related to Modulation usage per codeword. Attributes
involved are:

2.4 Focus Infocom support

Added support for Video Streaming (e.g. YouTube) in Focus Infocom file format.

2.5 Huawei Probe support

Improvements and minor bugs fixed in the Message Browser for Huawei GENEX Probe PHU
version 3.6.

2.6 Hugeland support

A problem has been resolved that caused Analyzer to peg call setup events in UMTS and
GSM simultaneously.
An issue has been fixed that caused Analyzer to set invalid values of the attribute
LTE_UE_RI and prevented from setting the attribute LTE_UE_RB_num_DL.
An issue has been fixed that caused Analyzer to set the attributes ServReLevIdle ,
ServRxLevEither and ServRxQual more often than expected.

2.7 JDSU support

Added support for compressed AOD (AOC) format in JDSU.

2.8 Nemo support

Added support for Nemo file format version 2.22.

Added support for Video Streaming (e.g. YouTube) in Nemo file format.

In Video Streaming, added support for the following attributes:


Nemo_Stream_Duration
Nemo_Stream_Resolution
Nemo_Streaming_Successfully_Completed

An issue has been fixed that prevented Analyzer from setting the attribute
Nemo_Streaming_Service_Access_Time.
A problem has been resolved that prevented Analyzer from setting the attribute
LTE_UE_VoLTE_Jitter.

An issue has been fixed that prevented Analyzer from setting GSM Scanner attributes in
PCTEL Clarify logfiles.

Rohde and Schwarz support


Added support for R&S version 4.84.

Swissqual support
A problem has been resolved that prevented Analyzer from setting POLQA MOS attributes
(although the value of the attribute was being correctly decoded in the Message Browser).

Generic
An issue has been fixed that caused a decode error D0023S in the ASN.1 decoder.
In LTE, an issue has been fixed that caused Analyzer to incorrectly set values of the
attribute LTE_RRCConnection_HO_Duration.
In LTE, a problem has been resolved that caused Analyzer to incorrectly detect a RRC Drop
on receipt of a Detach Request message from the UE.
In LTE, an issue has been fixed that caused Analyzer to detect false CSFB Redirection
failures and RRC drops during eCSFB Handover scenarios.
In UMTS, an issue has been fixed that caused the Cell Look-up algorithm to detect an
incorrect sector in a specific Network Configuration where all sectors of a Site have the
same Scrambling Code and Cell ID.
In VoLTE, improvements have been made where truncated VoLTE calls are present in a
logfile.
In VoLTE, a problem has been resolved that caused Analyzer to set incorrect values
(zeros) for the attribute TCP_Data_Pending_AckDL.

3 Application layer improvements


3.1 Spotlight

The KPIs CSFB Call drop and CSFB Setup Failure are displayed in separate sections on
the left panel, depending on the CSFB IRAT redirection (LTEUMTS or LTEGSM).

3.2 Stateform

Under LTE Scanner, a new stateform has been added in order to visualize in a bar chart
the levels of RSRP for each PCI detected and for ALL EARFCNs that the scanner measured.

4 Platform improvements

Added support for Floating windows within Analyzer. Once window has been changed to a
Floating window, it can then be dragged outside of Analyzers main window, and even onto
other monitors. The window type can be changed by right-clicking in the title bar of the
window to open a context menu.

Fixed a defect where right clicks in Attribute Explorer would not always work while
Analyzers main window was expanded across multiple monitors.
Modified the Use Format Group Colours feature in Attribute Spy so that the colour is
applied only to the background relatively to those attributes whose unit is expressed in dB
or dBm. This was done to improve clarity.
Added a Fit to Header feature to the Table, which resizes the columns to fit the width of
the column headers.

Added the Copy Full File Name feature to Attribute Explorers context menu.

Added support for 64-bit values in Queries.
