Analyzer Update

1 In this version
This release contains support for new and updated file formats. There are updates for most
technologies that Actix supports, with changes falling under the following categories:

New collection devices and improvements:

Added support for Accuver file extension types .scx and .drx.

Added support for Ascom TEMS Investigation 17.0.4.

Added support for Nemo file format version 2.24.

Added support for VIAVI Truesite version 1.40.

Added support for PCTEL_ExFlex Scanner in Ding Li format.

Added support for SCH-R530X device to decode CDMA attributes in Nemo format.

Added support for Nemo to set Ant0 and Ant1 scanner attributes sorted by EARFCN for
FSR1 scanner.

Added support for Handover-based CSFB (eCSFB) to UMTS event detection.

Application Layer:

Platform:

Resolved a display problem with old event diagrams.

Fixed a number of Map issues.

Documentation:

Added support for SRVCC events in the stateform Voice all technologies.

Online Help updated with descriptions of LTE CSFB, eCSFB, TAU, Attach and Detach
events.

2 New collection device or technology support


2.1 Accuver Support

Added support for the file extensions .scx and .drx.


Resolved a problem of not recognizing FTP download and FTP upload tasks and hence not
setting the App_Throughput_DL(UL)_Mean attributes in certain log files.
Corrected an issue of not decoding SIP messages in certain VoLTE-related log files.
Fixed an issue of incorrectly reporting the MOS measurement mode as PESQ instead of
POLQA.
Improved the setting of the attribute Scan_SortSigLevel_by_SigLevel_0 to appear in same
message as the ScanSortSigLevel_for_ARFCN_xxx when there are two Scan IDs.
Resolved an issue of reporting the PCI value as zero in cases where the actual PCI field is
empty.

2.2 Ascom TEMS support

Added support for TEMS Investigation 17.0.4.

Fixed an issue that caused the attribute Task_Application_Type to be missing.

Resolved a problem of not creating frequency/channel streams for CDMA/EVDO by Auto


create scanner frequency streams".
Resolved an issue of the missing attributes Ping_RTT, Task_File_Size and
Ping_packet_Size.

2.3 DataPro support

Resolved an issue where, for certain .SIG files, GPS data was not set.

Fixed an issue of improperly decoding source date of a few .SIG files.

Corrected an issue of not displaying SIP messages in the Protocol Stack Browser and the
Message Browser.

2.4 Ding Li support

Added support for decoding PCTEL_ExFlex Scanner.


Added support for setting Uu_Activeset_RSCP[] attributes for RSCP values of cells
reported in the active set.
Resolved an issue of file loading errors for some VoLTE log files.

Corrected the problem of not setting VoLTE-related attributes and events.

2.5 Focus Infocom support

Resolved a memory leak caused by corrupted L3 messages.

2.6 Huaxing support

Fixed an issue of not decoding certain log files.

2.7 Nemo support

Added support for file format version 2.24.

Added support to decode CDMA attributes for the SCH-R530X (S3-Samsung) device.

Added support for setting Ant0 and Ant1 scanner attributes sorted by EARFCN for the
FSR1 scanner.
Resolved an issue of missing attributes in the cell measurements for antenna section for
PCTEL files.
Added support for setting attributes LTE_UE_VoLTE_IPDV, LTE_UE_VoLTE_IPDV_HO,
RTP_Jitter, RTP_Packet_Loss_Rate, RTP_IPDV, RTP_DL_Bytes, RTP_DL_Packets and
RTP_UL_Bytes.
Corrected an error in setting Task_App_Bytes_DL.
Changed the display of the format group "LTE MCS" in order to include 256QAM
modulation available in Release 12 devices.

2.8 Qualcomm support

Corrected the out-of-sequence time stamp issues.

Resolved the issue of missing GPS data information and hence, the coordinates.

Improved device detection for CDMA devices.

Resolved the issue of missing DL attributes set from the LTE ML1 PDSCH stat indication
message with an Analyzer Pro LTE license.

2.9 Rohde and Schwarz support

Added support for the following attributes to derive global cell ID (ECGI) for P3 scanner
log files: LTE_Scan_ECI_SortedBy_RSRP, LTE_Scan_MCC_SortedBy_RSRP and
LTE_Scan_MNC_SortedBy_RSRP.

Swissqual support
Added support for decoding UMTS Routing Area Update and Handover to UTRAN commend
and set attributes for target SCs and target PLMNs
Added support for decoding the following messages: mtMsgWCDMAScannerPilotInfo and
mtMsgWCDMAScannerPilot with CDMA as the RF Band.
Added support for calculating the percentage of Carrier Aggregation active time. The
attributes LTE_UE_CA_Configured, LTE_UE_CA_Active, LTE_UE_Active_Duration,
LTE_UE_CA_Configured_Duration are set.
Corrected an error of displaying E-UTRA FDD as not supported and E-UTRA as TDD
supported.
Corrected the values of attribute SQ_SQuad_Single_RTT.
Fixed an issue of missing GPS information and Timestamps when the log file was loaded
with Load Time Filter On.
Resolved an issue of missing Swissqual call setup failure events:
SwissQual_EventIncomingCallSetupFail

VIAVI support

Added support for JDSU Truesite version 1.40.

Fixed an issue with support of 18.1.4 files with scanner W1314B data.

Resolved an issue of missing UMTS events.

Corrected an issue of missing speech quality MOS and VoLTE events in Trusite AHD 1.39.

Added support for decoding CDMA data from JDSU AHD DRT scanner.

ZTE DT support

Added support for decoding Ping messages and setting related attributes.

Added support for decoding compressed file formats FDD_CQT_UL.APT.

Generic

Added support for Handover-based CSFB (eCSFB) to UMTS event detection.

The issue of incorrectly triggering LTE_Event_CSFB_CallSetupFail has been resolved.

Corrected an issue of incorrectly (1dB less) showing LTE event RSRP thresholds such as
a1, a2, b1 and b2.
Added support for decoding 3G RRC BCCH-BCH SysInfoType11bis.

Improved the event detection to correctly identify call events occurring after successful
GSM to UMTS handovers.
Fixed an issue of incorrectly setting call setup failure after GSM to UMTS handovers.
Resolved an issue of incorrectly setting the GSM event EventHandoverFail when the UE is
in UMTS.
Corrected an issue of pegging phantom GSM call drop events.
Fixed an issue of pegging GSM call setup failure events when a UE sends another CM
service request after cell reselection with no location area change.
Resolved an issue of not pegging LTE call drop events at the end of the file though UE
moved to CDMA/EVDO.
Corrected an issue of wrongly setting CSFB setup failure if a tracking area update was
received after an extended service request.
Fixed an issue of not pegging Voice_Event_CallComplete for a completed voice call after
successful SRVCC to GSM.
Resolved an issue of wrongly setting CSFB setup failure, when Tracking Area Update
happens, after extended service request.
Resolved an issue of reporting invalid value to attribute Uu_Call_State.
Added attributes to help count the total number of unique cell identities per EARFCN or
UARFCN.

3 Application layer improvements


3.1 Spotlight

In the Voice all technologies stateform, support has been added for SRVCC events such
as SRVCC to UMTS OK, SRVCC to UMTS Failed, SRVCC to GSM OK and SRVCC to GSM
Failed.

4 Platform improvements
4.1 Event diagram viewer

Resolved the issue of the improper display of event diagrams.

4.2 Installation

Resolved an issue where the Activation Wizard was missing in Windows 8.

4.3 Map

Fixed a crash that occurred when launching the Map.

Resolved the issue not displaying Chinese characters correctly in tool tips.

Corrected the issue of a malfunctioning OK button in the Label properties dialog box.

Fixed the problem of step forward replay not working in the Map.

4.4 Network Explorer

Corrected to ignore the header lines when importing cellref files.

4.5 Package builder

Resolved the issue of not being able to build packages using the 64-bit version.

4.6 Workbook

Resolved the issue of Analyzer crashing during the use of user-generated Excel workbook
reports or another Excel file.

5 Documentation

This release adds descriptions of LTE CSFB, eCSFB, TAU, Attach and Detach events to the
Online Help.
