Community Involvement
Veterans Day Fundraiser Freezin for a Reason 5K
Students and faculty were encouraged to donate spare change to decorate our gymnasium with patriot emblems of the
American Armed Forces. This fundraiser culminated with an early winter 5K dedicated to the Wounded Warriors Project and
Some Gave All program
One Book One School Program
Worked collaboratively with staff to design a program that encouraged participation by the entire school community: faculty,
staff, students, administration, and parents. The program was a big success and culminated in an Academic Pep Rally
highlighting the achievements of the students
Building Management and Supervision
Participated in the recruitment and selection of qualified faculty and staff
Worked collaboratively with bus drivers to create a plan to ensure students are safe during morning and afternoon transitions
Oversaw in the allocation of funds to assist faculty and staff in the daily operations of the school
Worked collaboratively with the Madison Parks and Recreation Department to coordinate and schedule community events
on the Waverly Yowell campus and Hoover Ridge Park
Established positive relationships with local businesses to help allocate resources for school improvement.
Coordinated maintenance issues and contacted community businesses to provide services not rendered by the district
Directed and scheduled custodial staff to ensure Waverly Yowell remained clean, secure, and inviting to the community
