The goal of the paper was to find out the parameters which are able to
evaluate the grade of patient -nurse communication during surgical oncology
treatment. The methods used were 20 surveys psychologically validated which were completed by the patient, the nurse and someone from the patients family or friends. The results found underlined a good communication between the three parties which completed the survey, due to the fact that patients were given explanations and answers to their questions in due time, thus avoiding anticipatory anxiety. The conclusions indicated the fact that the hospital environment can be perceived by the patient as a non-hostile and even familiar.
