You need to explain this in 4 parts: (1) Situation: What was the context- and you need to say

this in 2-3 sentences. (2) Task: What were you expected to do- 2 sentences (3) Action: What
actions did you take- 3-4 sentences (4) Results: What was the result- 1-2 sentence. Just slot
them under these headings and you will get a very sharp and direct answer.
My greatest leadership achievement in a professional environment is when I led the team of
5 people at my workplace. Our team was tasked to carry out Kaizen and 5S improvement
processes across the system. We started with a team meeting in which we divided the work
area into small areas and each team member was given his work area. Areas which required
improvement were identified and unwanted materials were scraped which resulted in
increased floor area. 5S works were also carried out, part of which is to keep the inventory
store and work environment organised. We sorted things, organised them and to sustain this
spread awareness among our colleagues about 5S through common web portal. Results of
the works were presented and we bagged gold prize for best kaizen and 5S group wide.

I work at the Airport where my job profile is managing baggage handling system. It was
holiday season when passenger movement at the airport increases and with it the overall
baggage load. Every day our team would receive complaints from the customers/airlines of
late delivery of baggage which is affecting their flight timing. Generally people solve this
problem by seeking advice from their supervisor or hiring a consultant to find out the root
cause. But given this was a holiday season, I need to take a quick measure. I identified the
root cause, it was due to delay in X-ray screening process. I assessed the whole process,
identified why each process was being carried out, figured out the redundant processes and
removed them. Formulated the SOP as per the new process, which is not conventionally
done. This resulted in 50% reduction in the baggage delivery time and increase in
satisfaction level of the customers/airlines.

When I was 17 years of age I met with an accident because of which I was bed
ridden for 2 months and just after that my engineering entrance exams were
scheduled. I had planned to complete my syllabus well before the last day, but
due to accident my health got affected very badly and I couldnt study properly
for few months. When I recovered fully, I formulated a study plan to cover all the
syllabus in the provided time. I Studied with full zeal and determination. I
followed the plan till the end and finally was able to secure 98 percentile out of 1
million students.

For setting my short term and long term goals, first I will set specific long term
goal which are measurable, realistic and time-based. Keeping this long term goal
in mind I will set short terms goals for myself which are again specific,
measurable, realistic and time-based. These short term goals will lead me to my
long term goal. For instance if I take my personal example of weight loss, my
long term goal was to reduce 20kg in two months. To achieve this I set short term
goals of losing 2kgs per week and to achieve my short term goals I defined a
plan. I defined my diet regime, at what time I will do exercise and how many

days will do exercise. By following this plan I was able to achieve my short term
goal which kept me motivated, inspired and determined to move towards my
long term goal. To ensure accountability I set myself goals which are achievable
in a given time frame and which can be measured. So by this method I was able
to achieve my long term goal by achieving short term goals in the process.
