English Level/ Year: Grade 8 I. OBJECTIVES At the end of the lesson, the students will have been able to: a. Know the difference between homonyms, homophones and homographs; b. Use homonyms, homophones, and homographs in a sentence; and c. Respond positively to the activities related to the topic. II. SUBJECT MATTER Topic: Words with Multiple Meanings Language Skills: Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing Materials: Visual aids, big book, circle map, masking tape, ballpen, chalk and eraser, papers Duration: 1 hour Reference: English Expressways Textbook for Second Year III.PROCEDURE A. Preliminary Activities 1. Prayer and Greetings - The teacher calls a student to lead the prayer. - After the prayer, the teacher greets the students. 2. Orderliness and Cleanliness - Ask the students to pick up pieces of papers on the floor. - Tell them to arrange their seats in the proper order. 3. Checking of Attendance - Ask the class monitor to check the attendance and list down those students who are late and absent for the session. Give it to the teacher after the class. 4. Lesson Review - Ask the students what they have learned from the previous lesson. B. Motivation: DRAW AND TELL! C. ACTIVITY D. ANALYSIS
