Montage
Date: 5/27/16
Course & Section: Comm 130, Section 7
Instructor: Lindsey LeFevre
Description: Inspirational message montage comprised of multiple images.
Objectives: Create a montage using multiple images and blend the images together.
Program(s)/Tools: Adobe Photoshop
Process: I selected images that I felt would work well together then I began blending them inside
Adobe Photoshop. I placed the Star photo at the bottom of the layers panel as my background.
I used two separate layers of the city and sky as well as masks to accomplish the look I wanted.
Then I used several layers of the Cloud photo to give the appearance that the clouds were
overlapping the mountains. I then changed the opacity amounts on those layers to create further
blending. To finish up I used the blur tool on several layers to take away any hard edges that
looked unnatural and added a film grain filter to the city.

Course & Section: Comm 130, Section 7
Instructor: Lindsey LeFevre
Program(s)/Tools: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
Description: Brochure depicting the history and details of Grand Teton Media Collective.
Objectives: Create a two sided folding brochure using multiple images, a logo and 250 words of
written content.
Process: In this Project I used Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign. After making my
initial layout in Indesign I selected photos I had taken and edited them to the desired look. To
achieve the gate fold, I imported the front image twice and aligned half the image to each side of
the outside page. Next I formatted the images in to fit with the text I had written. I then added
in a photo of my super 8 camera that I had masked in Photoshop, I used this photo as my text
wrap and inserted it accordingly. For my logo I found an image of the Teton mountain range and
traced both the range and Grand Teton using the brush and pen tools. Afterwards I grouped the
tracings and fine-tuned the stroke and added in the text. After inserting the logo into the final
project I printed the project double sided and cut off the excess paper and folded accordingly
