A few weeks ago, Me and my friends were attended the live in activity in Dukuh

Temusari, in Boyolali. We went from our school at 10 oclock. It took about one and a
half hour to went there. After we arrived we were gathered and introduced to the
locals. On this gathering we were also divided to groups of some students, then we
were sent to the designated houses. After that we were greeted by the household of
our designated and spent some time with the family there. The first night we spent
was very cold, our activities that night was watching the film Volcano on the Selo
Volcano Theater. The film we watch were about the live in Selo, it mostly tells us
about the everyday activity of the people and the volcanic activities and how it
affects the live around them. After watching the film we were told to write our
nightly afterthought.
On the second day we helped the family where we stayed. After that we prepared
ourselves for a journey to New Selo. New selo was pretty far from where we stay,
and the road was high so we have to put an effort on going to it. Even though it was
tiring when we arrived at the New Selo, I was very happy. The place had a look like
in Hollywood where there was a big sign of the places name. After resting for a
while we had some lunch. After that me and my friends went after my houses
mother to the local market. In the market we helped her to shop and carried her
groceries back home. In the evening we went to the villages pendopo (gathering
place in Selo) to watch the scout dance from our classes. And in the night we had a
singing performance. The day was closed by another nightly afterthought after
which we went our separate ways to our designated homes to rest.
On the last day of our live in we began our activity by walking to the merapi
mountain observatory station. Our trip was not just walking but instead we had 6
games in 6 different post alongside the way to the observatory. After a lengthy
journey we got to the observatory. In the observatory we were told about how does
the observatory worked and we also enjoyed the scenery which was pleasant. After
our activity we went back to our designated house. After that we packed our things
up to prepare to go back to Salatiga. In the afternoon we parted ways with our
houses familyafter saying much thanks and gratitude for letting us stay with them
for a few happy days. We even took a photo together :).

After saying our goodbyes we head to the pendopo to say goodbye to all of the
village residents. After that we rode mini bus with our classmates back to Salatiga.
My experiences in the live in activity I had was an unforgettable one, I learned a lot
of valuable lessons about life. I learned that living in simple live could teach me
about togetherness and compactness. I also learned to value what others valued
and to respect other people in my life. I enjoyed and reflected on what I have went
through. Thank you.
