    BrickFlatSoling(BFS)ismostlyusedinbuildingconstructionandroadconstruction.Inbuilding
    construction,thecommonuseofbrickflatsolingisingroundandbasementasconcretebed.Thepurpose
    ofusingitasconcretebedistomakeconcretebedsmoothandstable.
    Theprocessofmakingbrickflatsolingissimpleandalmostallworkersknowitwellanddoitgood.That's
    whyitisneglectedbymostofthesiteengineers.Thereisatrendamongsiteengineersto
    approveBFSworkwithoutchecking.IknowitwellbecauseI'mdirectlyrelatedtoconstruction.
    OnceIaskedasiteengineerofoneofmyprojectthatinwhichdirectionafrogmarkshouldbeplacedin
    BFS.Hecouldn'tanswerit.Heisn'tbadengineer.Evenheknowsthatanswer.Butinstantlyhecouldn't
    answerbecauseforlongtimehehasbeenneglectingthisitemtocheck.
    Butcheckingshouldbedoneproperlyevenifitisasimpleworkitem.Otherwise,workersalsowilltryto
    neglectthatitemandyou'llberesponsibleformakinglowqualitystructure.

    Materialquality:YoualreadyknowthattherequiredbuildingmaterialsforBFSare1stclassbrickandfine
    aggregate(sand).Checkthequalityofthosebuildingmaterials.See:

    "6RequirementsofGoodQualityBricks"
    Compactionofsubsoil:Bricksareplacedonsoilorsandbed.Beforeplacingbricks,checkthatbedis
    compactedbyhandrammerandbysprinklingwater.
    Levellingofbed:Checkthecompactedsurfaceofbedislevelledproperly.Alsocheckthebedsurfaceis
    atdesiredlevel.
    Frogmark(ifany):Checkthefrogmarkofbricksarekeptupwarddirectionsothatitcanmakebondwith
    futureconcrete.
    Brickjoints:CheckthebricksarejointedasEnglishbondpattern.See"TraditionalBrickBondPatterns"
    Jointfilling:Checkthejointsarefilledwithsand.Makesurewaterisn'tbeingusedforflushingsandfrom

    bricksurface.
    Surfacelevel:CheckthefinishsurfacelevelofBFStomakesureithasbeenmadeatdesiredlevel.
    ActuallywehavecheckedthislevelduringthepreparationofbedwhichIincludedinthe"levellingofbed"
