Prestigious Hyderabad Mall Project

ocated at the hub of the bustling Punjagutta crossroads, the

Hyderabad Central mall has been designed as the best
address for retail outlets. It boasts 1,60,000 sq. ft. of shopping
space spread over 5 floors and a five screen multiplex. A full 1,00,000 sq.
ft. has been earmarked for parking which can accommodate over a
thousand vehicles.
This project is the latest offering from the G.S. Group, which is headed
by the dynamic and progressive Mr. G.S. Gupta. The Group has to its
credit a roster of successful projects in the twin cities of Hyderabad and
Secunderabad. Selection of the right site, adherence to high quality
standards in planning and execution and the backup of a team of
professionals make the Groups projects one of their kinds in the twin
cities. Some of the Groups projects include G.S. Estate, G.S. Mall and

G.S. 24 Carat. They house leading brands such as Bata, Mainland China,
Caf Coffee Day and Reebok, within their convenient and comfortable
environs.
The Group awarded the airconditioning of the Hyderabad Central
mall project to Blue Star. Its brand equity in the market, reputation for
timely execution of fast-track projects, excellent project management
capabilities and maintenance of stringent quality measures helped
Blue Star bag this prestigious Rs 4-crore order. The architect of the
shopping mall was M/s Tessaract Designs and the HVAC Consultant
involved was Mr. Deep Sagar.

Project Scope
Blue Stars project scope spanned the airconditioning of the shopping
mall and theatre at Hyderabad Central totalling 1250 TR.
Equipment supplied for the shopping mall and kitchen ventilation
included:

10 nos. 100 TR Blue Star air cooled reciprocating chillers

35 nos. double skin air handling units

4 nos. fresh air fans
Equipment supplied for the theatre included:

2 nos. 100 TR Blue Star air cooled reciprocating chillers

1 no. 50 TR Blue Star air cooled reciprocating chiller

11 nos. double skin air handling units

1 no. 10 TR fresh air unit

2 nos. 1.5 TR fan coil units

Challenges
Completion within the stringent schedules of the customer was one of
the projects big challenges, as was ensuring the entire satisfaction of the
architect, consultant and customer simultaneously.
Yet another critical activity was taking chilled water piping and drain
piping, within the available space, to one of the floors which was
airconditioned with 48 nos. 4 TR cassette units provided by the customer.
Also, the erection of vertical kitchen exhaust ducts stretching over 30m
from ground to terrace within a mere one weeks time was demanding.
Owing to Blue Stars expertise of over six decades in providing expert
cooling solutions backed by its superior project management skills, the
project was completed and commissioned within the stringent time
deadlines to the complete satisfaction of the customer.
