Event Ad
Description: One page event ad
Date: May 14, 2016
Course: Comm 130-03, Ben Pingel
Program: Microsoft Word
Objective: Learning how to create a flyer in Microsoft Word.
Process: The goal for this project was to create an event ad for
an activity. It could be any activity, and needed to have a sponsor
or a charity that would benefit from the event. The ad needed
to include what, where, when, why, and how much it would cost.
Learning how to do the skills that I used in Photoshop in Microsoft
Word was an important aspect of this project. It is necessary to
know how to use both programs.

Brochure
Description: Rexburg Farmers Market advertisement
Date: July 9, 2016
Course: Comm 130-03, Ben Pingel
Programs: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
Objective: Sketching and creating a tri-fold brochure.
Process: The first step was sketching my design to determine
what I wanted my design to look like. I set up the margins next
using ruler guides to ensure that my folds were in the correct
position. I cut out the background of one image and wrapped
text around it, I also created a logo to use for the Farmers
Market. Lastly, I pulled all of my designs together with a color
scheme in InDesign.

Farmers
Market
The Time Has Come
Again...
The 7th year of the Rexburg Farmers
Market is upon us. Back and better
than ever, the market has more to
offer than ever before! Activities for
the children, including face painting
and drawing, children can enjoy
themselves as much as the adults!
Fresh produce, along with
homemade jams ans sauces draws
crowds from all over Rexburg and
the surrounding areas to emjoy
quality time with their families
and make new memories at
the Rexburg Farmers Market!

Whats In store?
The Rexburg Farmers Market allows
Idaho farmers to showcase their best
produce to the community in and
around Rexburg. From blueberries to
lackberries, and carrots to radishes.
Goodies and shopping, with
everything in between. The Rexburg
Farmers Market has something to offer
for each member of the family. Parents
and children alike find enjoyment
at the Farmers Market during the
warm summer and fall months in this
beautiful state that we all call home.

Who we are:
The Rexburg Farmers Market was
established with the family in mind. By
bringing back the old family values of
spending Saturday mornings together,
the Farmers market enriches the lives
of residents and gives them a peek
into what life used to be years ago,
here on the Idaho plains.

Our Mission:

To bring families closer

together, while enriching the lives of
community members and inspiring
them to give back to the community.

Photo Design
Description: Get involved with intramural sports.
Date: May 21, 2016
Course: Comm 130-03, Ben Pingel
Program: Photoshop
Objective: Chose a color scheme and take a picture. Then
create flyer for an event that revolves around the picture
that I had taken.
Process: First I took my roommate to the BYU-Idaho stadium
and had her kick the soccer ball around for a while. Once I looked
at all the pictures, I decided that this one would work best for
my chosen message: to get involved in intramural sports. I used
the tools in Photoshop to add the text and the colored boxes
for my color scheme.
