Calibration

1. Purpose: To establish an effective system for calibration of monitoring & measuring devices used for evidencing conformity of
exploration, extraction & supply of Coal Bed Methane.
2. Scope of works: This process is applicable to all monitoring and measuring devices needed to ensure valid results in production
processes, inspection & testing of product, maintenance, supply and other related functions.

5. Guidelines for calibration:

All instruments whose calibration is not possible in-house shall be sent to external agency having national / international
traceability
In case of external calibration, calibration process shall be started one month ahead of expiry of calibration or well in advance
depending upon lead-time needed.
Instruments those are used for calibration of working instruments shall be identified, as Master Instruments and they
should be calibrated externally. They not used very frequently and be protected from getting damaged to ensure valid results.
The process owners verify the validity of calibration of the instruments used in their area as per calibration schedule.
In case an instrument is found out- of-calibration, it is removed from the process immediately and replaced with spare one.
The entire product released with such instrument is called back for re-verification.
If spare is not available, product may be released under positive call back scheme with due identification and they are
verified after calibrated instrument is made available.
