First Pres has three rooms to help young families on
Sunday mornings: one nursing room for mothers & infants,
next to the Prayer Room, between the Sanctuary and Lee
Fellowship Hall, and a second nursing room for mothers &
infants, on the 1st floor of Clayton Life Center next to the
elevators.
In addition, we have a Family Room for infants, children and
dads :-) , also on the first floor of Clayton Life Center.
All three rooms have a live television feed from the worship
services.

For our 9:45 Genesis worshipers who are getting to know
the Sanctuary: the best way to reach restrooms during the
service is to go to the Narthex (entry doors for the Sanctuary on Church Street). There is one restroom available
in the Narthex, and more in Allen Hall, adjacent to our
Sanctuary; our ushers can direct you. We ask you enter and
exit through the back of the room to minimize distractions
in worship.

recycle your bulletin

8:15am & 9:45am worshipers can help the church be better
stewards of our resources and environment. If you do not
want to keep this extremely handy bulletin, just hand it to
one of our ushers as you leave. The bulletins are reused
for the 11:00am worship service, and recycled on Monday
morning.

TRADITIONAL

When we come to worship each week, we are generally

upbeat. But all of us carry concerns with us. King David
was often upbeat in the psalms he wrote and he was
also very realistic. As King of Israel, Davids life had
many challenges in ruling over several million people
(and without mass communication or cell phones!)
yet he clearly knew the power of peace and a calm
trust anchored in God. Worship is about reminding
ourselves of Gods truth as we live in this world.
Through song, Scripture, and prayer we listen for
Gods voice as we are fully and consciously engaged in
worship. There is a point in every worship service in
which we extend the peace of Christ to one another. This
is not simply a Hows it going? Good to see you! exchange,
but rather a moment in which fellow worshipers confer
upon one another a foundational truththe peace that
only Christ can give. In the midst of the tumult of these
days in our nation, and world, retuning our hearts and
souls to the truth that In Christ alone, my hope is found is
the perspective and message we need to carry into the
world this week, and a truth the Orlando community
needs to hear.
