5. Quad/GraphingCompositionnotebook
(MostmaterialsarecheapandeasytobuyatWalmart,Target,OfficeDepot,orDollar
Tree.Ifyouareunabletogetschoolsupplies,talktoyourteacheroraskyourparents
tocontactyourteacherforassistance.)
Grading:
Citizenshipgrades(O,S,N)arebaseduponfollowingschool,classroom,andhonesty
expectations.AcademicgradesforMathandSciencearebaseduponassessments,
homework,classwork,andprojects.Assessmentsaregivenasbothquizzesandtests.
Thesemaybeeitherindividualordoneasagroup.Classworkmaybelabs,activities,
notebookchecks,orparticipationquizzes.Homeworkmaybeassigned,ormaysimply
beclassworkthatneedstobecompleted.Finally,atleastonelargeprojectcanbe
expectedeachtrimesterinbothMathandScience.Themajorityofpointswillcome
fromassessments.Thetotalpointsearnedbyastudentwillbedividedbythetotal
pointspossibleforeachtrimestertocalculatethepercentscore.90100=A,8089=B,
6579=C,5064=D,Below50=F
LateWork:
Lateworkwillneverbegivenmorethanhalfcredit.Anassignmentislateifitisnot
turnedinbytheendoftheclassperiodthedayitisdue.Nocreditisgivento
assignmentsthataremorethan3dayslate.
HonestyExpectations:
Allstudentworkmustbeoriginalandwrittenintheirownwords.Ifastudentcheatsor
helpsanotherstudenttocheat,theywillreceivenopointsfortheassignment(0%).In
addition,theirtrimestercitizenshipgradewilldroptoanN.Plagiarism,ortryingtouse

anotherpersonsworkasyourown,willalsoresultinnocreditgiven.Regardlessofthe
amountofmaterialthatthestudentcopiedorcheatedon,noscorewillbegivenforthe
entireassignment.
MissedWorkandTests:
Ifastudentissickormissesadayofschooltheymustcomeinthedayoftheirreturnto
setupatimetomakeupmissedwork.Failuretodosowillresultinreceiving0creditfor
missedassignments.Ifatestismissed,itwillbegiventhedayoftheirreturn.Students
whomissschoolduetoextracurricularactivitiessuchassports,music,etc.mustcome
togetassignmentsbeforeleaving.Testsmustbetakenpriortoleavingforschool
relatedactivities.Homeworkmustbeturnedinpriortoleavingforschoolrelated
activitiesoritwillbeconsideredlate.Seetheteacherbeforeorafterschooltohelp
makearrangementsfordaysyouwillbeabsent.
