Partnership Proposal
The annual CSR project conducted by the Students Council of Faculty of Applied Sciences of University of Sri Jayawardenepura SIP
SAYURA 2016 will take place in the last week of September 2016. This project is organized to provide a fully equipped computer
laboratory to the students of Ganegoda Maha Vidyalaya, Elpitiya a rural school in Galle district with the acknowledgement of the
Ministry of Education.
Furthermore, this CSR project is supported by a special fund raising campaign and the annual concert of Faculty of Applied
Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura Sisi Arundathee 2016.
We believe your organization/company will join hands with us for this great purpose and we are happy to have your kind support.

SIP SAYURA 2016

Computer literacy has become a life changing factor in the current world. Hence
having a sound knowledge in information and communication technology is crucial
for any student to face the future successfully.
Having benefited from free education system of Sri Lanka, we the Students Council
of Faculty of Applied Sciences,
University of Sri Jayewardenepura have decided to help improving IT literacy of our
own brothers and sisters.

WHY CHOOSE THEM ?

Not every student in Sri Lanka is lucky enough to use a personal computer.
Those students main access point to IT world is the schools computer laboratory.
G/ Ganegoda Maha Vidyalaya, Elpitiya is trying its best to enrich the knowledge in IT of the students with very
limited resources available to them. At the moment, there is very limited number of computers available in the
school for the use of more than
seven hundred students.
It is really a saddening situation, where people in one part of the world are using smart phones, tablets, laptops
all day
and here, students are waiting hours just to touch a computer.
As undergraduates, we thought we can make a difference in the lives of those innocent students even if its in
small scale. With the blessings of the number of stakeholders, we have decided to go ahead with Sip Sayura,
supporting our brothers and sisters to compete better and be successful in this dynamic world.
