PHYSICAL EXAMINATION: Neck: No carotid bruits or cervical
lymphadenopathy. No jugular venous distention (JVD).

POSTOPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS: Appendicitis.
MTs are also called documentation specialist, clinical documentation
expert, MLS=medical language specialist, MLQA, MCQA, Editor,
eScription editor, etc.
SKILLSET NECESSARY IN MT
1.

Listening comprehension skills.

2.

Language skills-Medical language and English language skills.

3.

Excellent writing and proofreading skills.

4.

Innovative researching and referencing skills.

5.

Contextual thinking, deductive reasoning, and concentration skills.

6.
Ability to focus/concentration/involve for long time and must be
able to have meticulous attention for minute details.
7.
Must have investigative mind and able to find alternatives for most
of words to make sure that the words fit into context of sentence.

8.Technical skills: Basic PC usage, word processor, browsers, MT tools


like dictation platforms, expressscribe, FTPs, internet security tools, PC
tune up tools, word expander, using digital referral tools, and browsers.
9.
Keyboard skills. Typing speed of at least 45 WPM, window
shortcuts, fast switching between applications during practice.
10. Very good vocabulary: medical terms, acronyms, slang terms,
medical jargons, prescription drugs, Americanism terms, English terms,
etc.
