Purpose

The purpose of this presentation is to provide


information to the users of DAWBEE project to
enable the upgrade of the EUMETCast system to
DVB-S2 using the Ayecka SR1 DVB-S2 Receiver.

Release the back panel which secures the plug-in cards
(two small catches on inside of box)

Please return the PCI card to EUMETSAT

Remove the card carefully from the PCI slot

Satellite Dish Re-Alignment

The Basic Service can be received with the currently installed


antennas.
But the antenna needs to be re-pointed to Eutelsat E10A and
the reception optimized to achieve the best link margin.
The user should check the existing LNB and decide if there is
a need for it to be replaced.
The user should also check the existing wiring and F
connectors condition.

Ayecka SR1 DVB-S2 Receiver - LEDs


POWER LED STATUS

INDICATION
Red - The LED will stay red until the SR1starts loading the Firmware, or in case of a
fault in Firmware loading.
Red/Green Blinking During Firmware programming process, (5-8 seconds)
N.B. If the Firmware programming fails, the led will turn red again.
Green - The led turns green constantly after two conditions are met:

The SR1 application software has been successfully launched

AND

The Firmware has been successfully programmed

Download the latest version of Ayecka Web Interface if not already installed. You can download
the latest version from Ayeckas Web Interface download page: http://www.ayecka.com/webinterface/
To run Ayecka Web Interface on your Windows machine, you need to run server software on your
computer. To download and install the recommended server software, follow the following
instructions step by step.
Download the last version of WAMP from here: www.wampserver.com/en/ eg :
Install the WAMP server (double click the downloaded file).
Run the WAMP server.
Enter to "localhost" on your browser.
If you can see a page with the details of the server, your installation was successful. If not,
please check again the instructions in this guide.
Exit the WAMP server by right clicking on WAMP icon (on the taskbar) and choosing "Exit".

Install Ayecka Web Interface Files :
Unzip the downloaded file from Ayecka Site (Slide 14) and choose the directory of your OS (in
this case, Windows). The directory contains 3 sub-directories:
Mysql
Configuration
www
Copy the sub-directory Content from the source directory to the destination directory on your
machine according to the table:

Update of mysql data :
Run the WAMP server
Enter to "localhost/phpmyadmin" in your browser.
Login as "root". The mysql server installed without password by default.
Select "Import" in the top menu. Select "Create_DB.sql" file from Mysql directory and click
"Go". This action will create new data base for Ayecka system.
Click "Ayecka" from the left databases list.
Select "Import" in the top menu. Select "Insert_tables.sql" file from Mysql directory and click
"Go". This action will add all Ayecka data to the database.

Check if the SNMP is started :
Click on WAMP icon (on the taskbar).
Select PHP.
Select PHP Extension.
Find the "SNMP" extension and make sure his selected.

Check if php_snmp is selected.

application must be given the fixed IP from which the data can be taken:
In the configuration file recv.ini the interface_address must be set to the reception host local IP Address:
interface_address=192.168.0.<nnn>

Tellicast Configuration

Open the recv.ini file at C:\EUMETSAT\EUMETCast directory

Go to the [parameters]
Delete or comment out the line:
interface_address=192.168.238.238
Add the line:
interface_address=192.168.10.103
Note : 192.168.10.103 Reception host local IP Address from
which the data can be taken:
Save & Close recv.ini file
Run tellicast client as usual
