Speakaboos is a digital book service for teachers, schools, parents and children.
They offer hundreds of titles of interactive books featuring: popular series such as
the 'Arthur' series by Marc Brown in an interactive, digital book form. They have
Spanish Language titles and many multicultural titles including a 'Bollywood' themed
section to reflect Indian culture. The titles are often read by the author or by popular,
recognizable voices such as Kelly Ripa. Their titles can be read on a many different
multimedia platforms including the Ipad and on smart phones, so parents can take it
on the road with their kids. Teachers and parents can have access to applicable
lesson plans, interactive flash cards, interactive games, colouring pages and much,
much more.
Digital books are becoming more and more popular, both at home and in the
classroom, not only for the very smart economic factor like hundreds of titles for the
price of one paper pack picture book, but because of the other learning opportunities

that go along with it. Several things make Speakaboos stand out in comparison to
other like minded sites, but here are the big ones for me such as accessibility,
awards and recognition, quality of product, economical, variety, freebies, and
enjoyment of the book.
First, children, parents and teacher can access to this website in an easy manner.
The books can be read on more than one platform with more than one reader. A
class room or home computer work just as well as an Ipad or Iphone. They can be
read in the car, at home or in a park, where ever the child is. One of the things that
have typically made a hard cover book preferable to digital books was the ability of

Disney is one of the best cartoon and animation production of all time .Children
under the age of 12 are familiar with Disneys character such as tangled, Cinderella,
brave and others. The selection of reading is wide and based from Disneys
character. The signup process for Disney Digital Books is fairly simple.
There are few interesting physical features in this website which are simple and
interactive. Besides, it is suitable for children and teenagers. There are 8 choice bar
such as store, parks and travel, video, movies, shows, music, games, books and live
show. The digital books were separated by age level. So we can choose appropriate
books based on the age of children.Digital books have a few beautiful qualities like
standard, look and listen, story builder, reward system and content of the digital
book.
These are suitable for reading together or for reading independently. Moreover,
children can click on a word with the "magic pen" which reads the word out loud and

a dictionary feature that can provide word definitions. It is also perfect for younger
readers. These books are read out loud as the words are highlighted on the screen
to encourage basic literacy skills with different voices and animated video displayed

As we all know children are fond of cartoon and animations. This website definitely is
useful to children because it has a capability to attract their attention when browsing
through varieties of material that are available in this website.
Cbeebies website is a fantastic online resource for early years children up to the age
of approximately 6 years of age. The website is a way to check out info on the
listings for the day . It has seven icons on the website the first one is home basically
telling you what Cbeebies is. The other icon is play games allowing kids to play
games on the Cbeebies site. It is fun for kids and also keeps them busy.
It has a great range of games supporting the early years foundation stage and
incorporating a range of Cbeebies favourites from Teletubbies to Kerwhizz. I would
encourage parents to play alongside their children, however older children are able
to complete simple programmes independently. Children can also click on clear
icons for example games, songs or activities to select the sorts of activities they

would like to engage in. There are plenty of opportunities to print out certificates,
puzzles and crafts to complete for example mobiles; finger puppets etc.
There are also a range of parent orientated information icons which are very
informative. Games encourage hand/eye co-ordination, following simple instructions
and some need the mouse whilst others use the arrow keys and space bar. It is
easily accessible from the www.bbc.co.uk website.
This website is very useful if the children want to get their free reading book because
its have many reading material, It useful because it not complicated and the exciting
interference that make the children easy to use.
