When a pebble is
thrown into water one
can see the ripple effects. The same is true
with the works of the
Lord that he calls us to do in today's Gospel
of the Good Samaritan. We CAN make a
difference in our harried world, We, you
and I, can make changes to help the poor,
the destitute, the homeless, the unloved
and those with the lack of faith. Consider
Good Shepherd Parish as an oasis, a little
cell of joy and peace in a world confronted
by violence, hatred, busy-ness or complacency. We can throw our pebble into the
pond and be confident that its everwidening circle will reach around the world.
With Love there is nothing we can't do, and
dear God, please enlarge our hearts to love
ourselves, each other, our neighbor, our
enemy and our friends.
We are called by Jesus to love our
neighbor like we assess our love for God
who breaks down artificial boundaries that
divide us, and rests on the insight that we
are to treat one another as we treat all of
God's creation. With Mercy, with Reconciliation and Love Jesus hands us the pebble....what's going to be our decision?

LIVE JESUS
FOREVER!

IN

OUR HEARTS,

Registration for upcoming Family Faith

The San Damiano

Cross
is the one St. Francis
was praying before when
he received the commission from the Lord to
rebuild the Church. The
original cross presently
hangs in Santa Chiarra
(St.Clare) Church in Assisi, Italy. All Franciscans
cherish his cross as the
symbol of their mission
from God. The cross is
called an icon cross because it contains images of people who have a part in
the meaning of the cross. The tradition of such crosses began in the eastern Church and was transported
by Serbian monks to the Umbria district of Italy.
