Industrial Training

INTRODUCTION
1. All B. Tech students (SPT & SOT) shall undergo 6 weeks of Industrial Training
after completion of their 6th Semester.
2. All B.Tech students must register for Industrial Training subject to their
eligibility and clearing / passing their 6th Semester exams.
3. The duration of training will be for a period of 42 days from 8th June to 19th
July 2016.

Students can undergo their training during this period at an

organization of his/her choice or offered by Training & Placement (T&P) Cell.


4. Students shall take care of their re-examination schedules if any.
5. Students who want to arrange their internship on their own shall try to identify
his/her

own

choice

of

company

to

undergo

Industrial

Training

and

communicate the same to the company and do follow up for the same with a
company.
6. It is compulsory for all students to attend training /workshop organized by T&P
Cell, if any.

Important Guidelines for Industrial Training


Students can arrange their industrial training on their own in an organization of
their choice or request T & P Cell to arrange industrial training.
1. Students who wish to do training on their own; they will have to follow
guidelines as below.
i. A student should declare that he/she is taking responsibility of his/her Industrial
Training and T & P Cell will not be responsible for making any training
arrangements. This has to be done at the time of registration.
ii. A student has to submit details on the online link within stipulated time given
for Letter of Recommendation. After deadlines, no request will be taken into
consideration.
iii. A student has to collect Letter of Recommendation (LOR) from T & P Cell within
specified time given.
iv. A student is responsible for doing Industrial Training on his/her own for the
duration of six weeks. He has to submit his confirmation letter/mail from the
company to T & P Cell.
v. Each student will be provided maximum three LOR. Any subsequent LOR will be
issued after approval from respective school director.

2. Students who are dependent on college for their training; they will
have to follow guidelines as below.

In the case of companys urgent requirement or short deadlines, no

Organization may or may not disclose profiles for training.
Organization might provide internship at any location in India or abroad.
Students have to complete their internship at the location identified by the

Students have to bear all expenses on Food, Accommodation, Transportation
or any other expense while on internship.

3. A student has to fulfill all above norms and evaluation criteria by T & P

Cell, PDPU.
