Time

Opening activity

The T greets the sts, and she


writes the word "travel" on the
board. The sts have to say
words that come to their minds
related to travelling. It could be
whatever they want, or things
that are connected with
"travel"(objects, feelings). They
have to explain what that word
represents for them. The T
writes the words she hears
around the central word.

Watching a video

The sts watch a video called


"The kid trotter". The sts will be
divided in 3 groups. They will
discuss some question, and they
can take down notes. Then, the
groups will share their answers
orally. Questions: Who is the
girl? Where does she live? What 10 min.
does she want to do? Can you
guess where she decided to go?
Have you ever taken an airplane
? Have you ever watched a
volcano? Would you like to go
exploring too?

To expeculate about the


video, to make predictions,
to extract specific
information, to discuss.

Listening activity (it could


be an extra activity)

The sts listen a conversation


between two men talking about
travel and culture. They have to 10 min.
read the questions and choose
A, B, or C. The exercise is
checked orally.

facebook. They have to create
slideshows, adding pictures,
music, and words. They can
choose different slideshows

share the presentation with their
peers. They will have to talk
about the place, make a
description of it, try to use some
words from the crossword, tell
why they like it, and talk about
everything they want to share.
