Paths of Ochun

Addesa: 5-5. She stands for a safe crown and the peacock.
Aja Jura: 9-5 She is warlike, does not wear a crown but a helmet.
Arem Kondeam: 8-8. She dresses in white and is very mysterious. Her necklace is
made up of amber and coral and some of its parts contain Orunla's beads.
Ayede: 5-5 She is the one who resembles a Queen. Her
crown is covered with a yellow piece of cloth, 15 parrot and nightingale feathers
respectively.
Bum: 3-5. The one who goes to the river for water. She carries an amber necklace that
has five snails in her water jar.
Ede: 3-3. She stands for a shrimp. She is a good walker. Her crown contains 101 bronze
pieces and 101 bracelets.
Eleke On: 3-5/5-3. She is Oshun, the fighter. She wears a forked walking stick. She lives
next to the Paradise tree and wears a
necklace made up of the tree seeds. She does not wear a crown. She is very strong and
wears four necklaces.
Ibu Akuaro: Is born in 5-7. She is the Queen without crown. She is the quail. She lives
where the sea and the river meet and is called the deaf. Her necklace is light yellow, green
and white and it also takes coral and jet. She carries a walking stick that is made of
mango tree wood and which has different secret "signs" (signos or firma's <as in Palo>)
she likes to dance with.
Ibu A or "Ayn": 9-8/8-9 is her Odu.The drum player. A miniature bat drums is set
on her altar among other things. She is the one who hears the drum and goes straight to it.
Ib Ikol: Is born in the Odu 10-8/8-10, but also in 7-5/5-7. This Oshun is and works
with the 'tiosa' (vulture, buzzard). She is the one who picks up the "mess" left behind by
mankind and the one who takes care of the Ile. Is represented by an Inch Osain (made by
Ifa) which should be hanged in the Ocha room.
Ibu Ian: 10-1/1-10. She lives on the sandy banks of rivers. She is famous for
controversies and carries a bronze fan that is made up of jingle bells.
Ibu Ododo: 12-10/10-12. She stands for the dry bed of the river. Her crown contains a
sunflower, which is hanging.
Ib Odonk: 5-4/4-5. She stands for the river when it becomes thick or when it is
growing, as it is full of mud. She carries a basket and a sword.

Ib Yum: 8-10/10-8. She is the one who makes the belly grow without being pregnant.
She is the real deaf one and is beautiful. She wears a horse bell.
It M: 9-5/5-9/10-9. She dresses like a man. She is an amazon. She lives in marshes
and is always together with Inle and Osajano.
Lat Elegba: 11-1 She eats in a pumpkin and lives in the center of the river. She doesn`t
wear a crown.
Oggale: 11-5. She stands for the housekeeper. She is old and fussy. Her crown contains a
key, which is hanging.
Okuanda: 12-5/5-12 She is the one who was thrown dead to the river, the one set fire to
Chango's castle, but at the same time the one who freed Chang from the fire.Her crown
is topped by a cross.
Okuose Od: 10-11. The one who emerged dead from the river.She lives inside a
fountain and has five bottles containing water from different rivers.
Ololod: Is born in the Odu 5-6/6-5 and 6-6. She is a woman who dresses up as a warrior.
Her enemies can never defeat her and she is very dangerous when she gets mad with her
children. She wears a horse bell and a machete.Her crown is full of corals. Her necklace
includes pearl, coral, five ivory beads, water and aqua green. Her symbol is the owl. She
rides on Orunla's Opon and on a conic drum.
Oshun Miw: 8-5. Oshun of riches and the Oshun who consoles.
Tinib: 5-5 (with egun onire) She lives with Orun. She goes out at night a lot and loves
to ride boats. She is Oshun Miwa`s sister. She is worshipped but she not mounted or
possess.
