I am a programmer with an eye for design, an

apprentice web developer, a big-data enthusiast and a
hobbyist in the fields of electronics, digital signal
processing and sound engineering. Being a fast learner,
a good problem solver and a teamwork oriented
individual I am always on the look out for new and
interesting projects, events, learning programs and open
positions in teams from which I can learn and in which I
can leave my mark and provide help.

Experience&Skills
QA Automation Writing, improving and
interpreting automated
quality assurance and
performance tests for an internal content-centric
middleware .
Cloud Computing Systems Creating a proof of
concept and later managing the deployment of
OpenStack tenants as resource providers for running
varied automated tests. This also involved managing the
interaction between already existing continuous
integration
tools
and
OpenStack
and
automating&regulating their use of Cloud resources.

Databases&Logging solution Experience with

several relational databases which use SQL (mainly
MySQL, PostgreSQL) as well as experience with nonrelation databases (mainly MongoDB and Elastic Search ).
I am currently implementing the ELK stack as a logging
solution for the QA logs from various applications and I
have also gained some experienced from implementing
databases for various websites.
Electronics Designing and soldering together basic
analog circuits such as amplifiers and simple signal
processors as well as primitive sensors.

Work&Education
Highs-chool (2010 2014) National College
Gheorghe Sincai, Natural Sciences profile
College (2014 ongoing) Faculty of Electronics,
Telecommunication and Information Technology
Politehnica University of Bucharest, Im currently a
sophomore at this college where I try to focus on the
study of Digital Electronics and Signal Processing.
MetroSystems (2016 present) I currently work parttime for the QA department where I concern myself with
learning how to automate the QA process and
implementing tools to run tests more efficiently&cheaply
and with better logging.

Hobbies&Interests

Web Development Building, deploying, upgrading

and maintaining a small-to-medium sized website using
the MEAN stack (Mongodb as a Database, Node.js as a
server runtime environment with Express.js as server
framework and Angular as a front-end application
framework) and conforming to a vertically scaled MVC
architectural plan. Designing and deploying small
websites using the LAMP stack. Some experience
creating a website (personal blog) using Python and
PostgreSQL.

Other than programming my recent hobbies include

music (playing, listening and producing), reading various
works of philosophy and math, hiking, swimming, reading
quality SF.
Some of my most pointed interests lie in the areas of
big data, automation, next-generation web applications,
nanotechnology and creating software for the fields of
medicine and biology.

Web Design Designing the front-end of some

presentation&marketing websites and creating mobile
friendly websites as well as modifying existing ones to
fit small screen devices

this resume.

Programming and Scripting Languages

Javascript : Nowadays it is my language of choice for a lot of personal projects as well as for
automation. I have experience building back-ends using Nodejs, designing and improving the frontend of various websites with the help of Angular and Jquery as well as doing web-automation and
QA-automation using Phantomjs, Casperjs and Selenium. On top of I have been fiddling around with
the Web-Audio-API in various projects.
Java : I have learned the basic of Object-Oriented Programming in Java and I have designed
various simple applications using it. The more complex projects I have embarked upon were a
creating games using the libGDX library and audio-processing using the Beads library.
PHP : While I have quite some time using PHP under my belt most of my usage of the program
involved using it for facilitating the needs of simple websites that needed communication with a
database or the ability to store files on the server
GO : I have only recently started learning golang but I found it fascinating and I have a few
projects planned using this language. However most of them are still in their infancy.
Python : Python is my language of choice for performance testing and I have also used it for
more run of the mill automation, mainly on the web by pairing it up with Selenium. I have also
used the Django framework to build a blog website from scratch and I recently started using
matplotlib as a replacement for Matlab and Octave when I am in need to plotting, analyzing or
otherwise processing a large set of data.
C : Is the language in which I learned the basis of imperative programming and in which I started
programming. Although I have written programs to better help me understand data structures,
searching algorithms, sorting algorithms and memory management, I have never used C for any
projects that I aimed to publish. Nowadays my low-level language of choice is mainly GO.
CL Shells : On UNIX-like systems I mainly use Fish, Bash, Dash and Zsh, if I have a choice and
enough time I prefer to install and use fish for most things. On Windows I use cmd and sometimes
powershell.
I should mention that while those are the languages I have the most experience with I am always
open to learning new programming languages and I will jump at any opportunity of learning and
working with a modern Assembly language, Haskell, Clojure or another LISP-like language, Rust and
any other interesting and somewhat modern programming language.

Operating systems
Linux (GNU/Linux) : I use various linux distributions as the operating system of choice on my
desktop and laptop computers. Most servers that Ive managed and most VMs which I use for
various tasks also ran some variation of linux. If I were to list some of the distros which I prefer and
which I have the most experience with they would be: Arch-Linux (only operating system I run on

my home desktop), LinuxMint (the first Linux Distro I heavily used, I still use it on my laptop and on
most computers where I dont have time to set up Arch-linux), Debian (Sometimes through choice
and sometimes through chance has been the operating system with which I worked on most servers
and it remains one of my favorites due to a combination of stability and ability to customize it),
other than those Ive also had some experience using Ubuntu, CentOS, CoreOS and Fedora.
BSD : Ive only recently started experimenting with BSD but it is quickly earning a place in my
heart and a server OS. FreeBSD is the only bsd-based OS that I have any real experience with and I
use it quite extensively nowadays on the machines on which I host my website.
Microsoft Windows : I still use Windows on my computer at work (company policy) and I am
more than comfortable and experienced with using most modern Windows operating system. The
ones I tend to use and bump into the most are Windows 10, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7 and
Windows XP.
OS X : Little experience using it, when I did it was mainly on machines which I used for editing
and producing music.

Other Software tools

While I cant exactly list every software, tool and language that Ive ever worked with which
might have some relevance to you, dear reader, I shall try to list some of the more common ones
here and group them in to various categories.
Web Design&Development : HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Curl
Graphics Design : Photoshop, GIMP
Audio editing&producing : LMMS, Ableton, ProTools, Audacity, JACK, Asio4All
Cloud&Server management : Putty, WinSCP,OpenStack command line clients, OpenStack
IDEs and Programming centered text editors: Atom, Sublime, Eclipse, PyCharm, Android
Studio, Notepad++, NetBeans, Lime
Mathematics&Data Analysis : Matlab&Simulink, Octave, Wolfram Alpha
Others : Jenkins, Docker, UFT, LoadRunner, VirtualBox, Vrilog, Xilinx ISE

Language
English : I am proficient at speaking, reading and writing. Im also able to communicate well in
both a formal and informal setting and have quite a good grasp of scientific and computer science
related terms used by the English-speaking community.
Romanian : Native speaker with knowledge and experience using the language in both formal and
informal settings. Fairly good at using language-specifics technical terms in the fields of electronics,
computer science and programming.
