Start the day with by making the classroom fun and exciting.
Giving them signal to keep quiet and pay attention.
Rove around the classroom to see to it if pupils are listening and doing their given tasks.
Exercise teacher-student conversation.
Develop a classroom discipline plan that follows our management plan and pupils can
easily understand.
Create a positive environment by regularly using classroom awards to promote
motivation.
Require the pupils to maintain classroom cleanliness and perform classroom jobs.
Arrange materials in a predictable manner that is easy for student to access.

Write the rules set in your class.

Me and my co-interns decided that our classroom rules and regulations are the
following:
1. If there is so called 4Ps, then we have the so called 3 Ps which are Please keep quiet, Pay
attention, and Paste your mouth.
2. If these rules are not followed and break by pupils, then we have a corresponding punishment
for it, either they will clean the room or the last one to leave the room.

MY ANALYSIS
Establishing classroom routines is important because
Routines are the backbone of daily classroom life. It facilitates teaching and learning. Its
not only made our life easier but also save classroom valuable time. Efficient routines make it
easier for pupils to learn and achieve more. When these routines and procedures are carefully
taught, modeled and established in the classroom, children know what is expected to them and
how certain things on their own does. Having these predictable patterns in place allow teachers
to spend more time in meaningful instruction.

Using the continuum, I feel I accomplished the tasks in a Satisfactory (3) manner

Outstanding
Very Satisfactory
Satisfactory
Fair
N.I
Because
I think I need more improvement. I need more preparations to make the next time I will
do some activities. Being engaged in activities like this is a big responsibility to face because it
has a corresponding grade depending on our performance. Thats why the next time I will be
given the same kind of activity, I will prepare more so that I can rate my performance as Very
Satisfactory or Outstanding.

NCBTS Domains 4 and 5

After writing my first lesson plan in my cooperating school, these are the things noted by my
cooperating teachers.
Best features: Visuals are creative and Attractive
Areas of improvement: Use pictures in story-telling, show your big and small Letter Pp, show
the words especially the placement of Letter Pp, correct the mispronounced words right away, be
aware of classroom management and use English as a medium of instruction.
NCBTS Domains 3, 4 and 7
In preparing my instructional materials, I realized that:
Making some decisions enhances instruction. I should be more responsible for student
learning especially if it involves going beyond the resources provided, to create active motivating
learning experiences for your students. When you choose instructional materials, they should be
chosen on the basis of their contributions to the learning outcomes rather than on the basis of
availability or ease of use.
Instructional materials must be
Relate directly to the purpose and objectives of the lesson; extend content or provide for
remediation, reinforcement or enrichment. They should be appropriate to student differences
such as ability, achievement, interest, and learning styles. Therefore, regardless of the
instructional method used in the classroom, I must consider each of the following before
selecting instructional resources.
I need to prepare instructional materials so that
As a future teacher, we are often expected to create our own lesson plan, this can be
difficult especially if we have a limited background knowledge. Often, we need instructional
aides to supplement our knowledge. Instructional materials can help provide background
knowledge on the subject we are planning for. It also help me assessing pupils to do specific
tasks and creating subjects. Thats why to ensure that there is learning among student, we need to
prepare instructional materials because it awakes their sleeping mind and also caught their
attention.
MY REFLECTIONS/MY INSIGHTS
If I already have my own class in the future, I want to employ
Let students help to define what behaviour is appropriate for each learning centers.
Help students learn how to behave appropriately by role playing and practicing with
them.
Post procedures for learning centers where students can refer to them.

Provide comfortable seating.

Separate learning centers of high activity, such as co-curricular centers, from areas like
reading/language/arts, where students need to keep quiet.
Set aside an area to meet with small groups. Allow enough seating for about eight
students.
Desk should be out of the way, but in an area where I can view the entire classroom.

So that in the long runs

I can provide my pupils an environment that is organized, stimulating and comfortable in
order to learn effectively. Creating an environment entails arranging practical physical lay-out
supplying diverse materials and supplies and encourages students to have a sense of belonging
and ownership.

NCBTS Domains 3 and 4

I think that I can do better if
I have the passion in teaching because its about not only motivating students to learn but
teaching them how to learn, and doing so in a manner that is relevant, meaningful and
memorable. I should read sources inside and outside of my areas of expertise and being at the
leading edge as often as possible. Good teaching is also about bridging the gap between the
theory and practice. I should also need to listen on my students opinion. I should also need to
push pupils to excel, at the same time respect others and be professional at all time.
I realized/learned that
Good teaching is about not always having a fixed agenda and being rigid, but being
flexible, fluid, experimenting and having the confidence to react and adjust to changing
circumstances. Its about the creative balance between being the classroom manager and the push
over on the other. Its about style and humour where no need to become too much serious so that
students learn in a more relaxed atmosphere where doing mistakes is free as long as you learned
from it.
NCBTS Domains 4 and 5
As a teacher, I need to prepare a lesson plan that
Have a clearly defined learning goal.
List of resources needed for a lesson.
Have the standard to ensure that objectives will be reached.

Have the guided instruction where it gives me opportunity to know what my students can
do through anecdotal assessment.
Have assessment to find out what students have learned.
Have closure to sum up what the students understand about the lesson presented.
I am fully convinced that I must be fully prepared before I teach to ensure that there is
learning taking place all the time.
NCBTS Domains 3, 4 and 7
Use this scale in rating your instructional materials
5- Outstanding 4- Very Satisfactory 3- Satisfactory 2- Fair 1-NI (needs improvement)
How does my cooperating teacher rate the instructional materials I prepared in the classroom?
Are my instructional materials
5 4 3 2 1
1. Appropriate to the development of the learners?
2. aligned with objectives
3. easy to prepare
4. durable/sturdy
5. appealing to the learnersv

8. easy to manipulate
9. practical/ useful
10. Less expensive/economical?
MY PORTFOLIO
In other classes, they sing songs for transition purposes, in passing paper in
transferring to other classes and the like
Write a parody from a melody of a popular song and integrate the concepts of your
classroom routines.
