Mission to Mars
OCBP
Travel to Mars will soon be a reality! Students will get first hand experiences of what Mars
astronauts may encounter. Explore Martian geology, make your own Martian, and complete
a Mars Maze to make it back to planet Earth. Explore the similarities and differences
between the atmospheric conditions on Earth and on Mars.
Featuring: Invaders of Mars in our fulldome theatre, Maven Mission at our Science On a
Sphere, Exploring Martian Geology, Testing the Chemistry of Martian Soil, Analyzing
NASA Images and Information, Mars Maze, Design and Build an Edible Mars Rover
Students will be introduced to Atomic Theory by learning about our cosmic connection to the universe. All
matter is made of atoms which are far too small to see directly through a classroom microscope.
Elements are unique atoms and have unique properties. Students will investigate the life of a
star.
Featuring: Exploding Universe in our fulldome theatre, Unique Universe, Spin Art, Star
Composition, Create your own Constellation, and Flashlight Constellations
STEM Sensation
Students will spend time creating entertaining projects associated with STEM. They will be
Mathematicians, and use a calculator to control a robot; rocket scientists, and launch rockets;
architects to design bridges with computer software, and then build the bridge based on their
design, and learn why STEM can make Earth the perfect planet to live on.
Featuring: Perfect Little Planet in our fulldome theatre, Rockets, Calculator Robots, Bridge
Building, and Solar Cars
Students will learn about the theories of flight and test those theories by constructing a
variety of things that fly! They will progress from a basic paper airplane to an actual working
hot air balloon.
Featuring: Dream to Fly in our fulldome theatre, Flight Patterns at our Science On a
Sphere, Hot Air Balloons, Digitally Built Gliders, and Water Balloon Rockets
