Grid Necklace Basic Concepts

COLOR = RUDIMENT
-GREEN: 1 diddle
-ORANGE=2 diddle
-BLUE=flam
-PURPLE=flam drag
-SOMETHING=cheese
-SOMETHING=flam five
BLACK BEADS = BACKWARDS
EXAMPLE 1:
The black beads after the two white beads represent "straight up"
triplet grid played backwards. The black
bead on the right is backward triplet grid played starting with the right hand. The other black bead on the
left is backward triplet grid played starting with the left hand. All grid combinations on the necklace are
played using alternating sticking (ex. rlrlrlr or lrlrlr)
EXAMPLE 2:
The black beads after the 3 green beads on either side represent the player successfully played BACKWARD
triplet grid with a diddle on one, two, and three. This means that for the black bead the player will have
performed the entirety of backward triplet grid THREE times (consecutively depending on who's handing
out the beads)
RIGHT HAND LEFT HAND:
If a player has three green beads on both sides (making a total of six green beads on the necklace) this shows the
player has played all 1 diddle beat combinations starting with the right hand (which corresponds to the 3 beads on
the right side of the necklace) and the LH (corresponding to the 3 beads on the LEFT side of the necklace). The
black beads which caps the three green beads on either side represent backwards grid starting with the RH (for the
black bead on the right) and the LH (for the black bead on the left)
-RH=right hand
-LF=left hand
GRID GENERATOR:
If you're confused on learning the combinations and don't quite grasp the concept of placing a rudiment on a
particular beat/partial check out this link for referencing the exact notation of individual grid combinations:

The link above is a "grid generator" that will write out each combination based on the inputs you plug in.
