Employee Central time sheet what is it?
A time sheet provides the ability for hourly and salaried employees to record their working time
and overtime
Functionality includes two primary scenarios
Overtime recording of salaried employees with
overtime pay generation
Working time recording of hourly employees
with base pay and overtime generation
Overtime hours are immediately displayed
when time is recorded
Completing and submitting time sheets for
the week is an easy, fast, and simple process
Time can be entered by clicking the bar graph,
clicking the number of hours, or entering the
total in the field

Adding custom fields to the Time Off Request is easy to do.
using Admin Tools. The administrator:
Selects Configure Object Definitions
Recalls the Employee Time object and selects to
make a correction
Adds the desired field at the bottom of the field list
Selects the details link to update the details of the
field, specify the type of time off this applies to, and
create field help text for the end user
Saves!

Configuring Absence Management


To create a country-specific workflow...
use Admin Tools:
In Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structures, create
the workflow processes for the absence request
In Configure Business Rules, create the new rule which
evaluates the leave type and location of the employee
Save the rule!
In Configure Object Definitions, search for the generic
object of Employee Time
To make a correction, add the rule you created, and
Save.
In Manage Data, select the time type for the absence
and delete the value in the workflow configuration field.
Save!

Configuring Absence Management


To update a time off entitlement rule
the administrator goes to Admin Tools:
From Manage Time Off Structures, select the
Time Type that the eligibility rule is attached to
In Take Rules, select the Max Days Off Sick Rule
to open the rules engine.
Select take action and make correction to edit the
rule
Edit the if statement by clicking the pencil icon
next to the number of days in the policy
Change the number of days to 3 and choose
Save
Close the Rules Engine window

To create a new work schedule
in Admin Tools, the administrator:

Selects Manage Data


From Create New, select Work Schedule
Completes the required fields, sets up both the
working days and non-working days along with the
planned hours, and sets the starting date of the
schedule
Save!

Schedules are automatically assigned during new hire,


job changes, and other actions. The administrator can
view the schedule on the Job Information page of the
employee record.

Configuring Time Sheets in EC


To submit a time sheet on behalf of an employee
in Admin Tools, the administrator:

Searches for the employee and selects


Time Sheet from their Profile menu
Completes the time sheet for the
appropriate week
Submits the time sheet for approval

The approver of the time sheet will see that the


time sheet was initiated by the administrator.
These details are part of the audit trail.
