FQIT 231545: Output shaft seal 2262467 leak

Problem description:
The seal introduced in FQ104028 fails after
a short time in operation.
This due to compression of the rubber and
the friction between the seal and housing.

Product solution:

FQ228655:Steering: Tyre in contact with draglink

Problem description:
Tyre and draglink in contact when steering
to the end position.
R&D are aware that there may be contact
between the tyre and the draglink but since
it only happens in maximum turn and
thereby in low speed we do not see this as
a safety concern and it is allowed from a
design point of view.

FQ235602:Hydraulic steering hose internally blocked

Problem description:
Failure reports have been received about internally
blocked hydraulic steering hoses in pipe assembly
between the hydraulic pump and the steering fluid
reservoir. A material defect in the rubber compound
causes the hoses to get blocked internally. This leads
to strong hydraulic noise, leakages and decreased
servo assistance.

introduction of ELC4.

Part description:
Pressure sensor (T70 & T71)

Part no:
1889798

The problem seems to be more frequent in

the tag axle circuit due to higher air flow
around the sensor.

FQIT220894 Deviations in the axle pressure

Problem description:
Complains that the pressure to weight
calculations is less accurate on ELC4 compared
to ELC3.
The problem is both related to the displayed
axle load & cargo weight information in ICL and
also regarding load handling, tag axle lift and
load transfer.
The tolerances of the air suspension could
explain this behaviour, but it doesnt explain why
the ELC3 system didnt have the same
complains.

Product solution:
FQIT241212:
On 8x4/4 with ARA 950 trucks we have
calculated with the wrong volume in the tag axle
circuit and that will be solved with a new SDP3
release in March 2016.

Service solution:
We have indication that the pressure sensor
installation might have an impact on the
accuracy, therefore we have suggested to try
the ELC3 installation on a couple of vehicles.
