Unidades de comando conectadas a um barramento CAN devem ser capazes de
tratar de at 100% da carga do barramento CAN com as mensagens corretas sem
limitaes funcionais significantes ou funcionamentos incorretos.
Como regra, a carga do barramento CAN no deve exceder 80%.
No recomendvel fechar os laos de controle sobre a CAN, porque o tempo de

da responsabilidade do encarroador garantir que a unidade de comando da carroceria no receba comandos contraditrios. Se, por exemplo, a unidade de comando
da carroceria dar um comando que faz a buzina soar, nenhuma outra unidade de comando que d comandos ao motor poder dar comandos contraditrios buzina.
Uma maneira de resolver este problema usar uma topologia, conforme mostra o
diagrama. A unidade de comando X coleta, compara e confere a informao antes de
os comandos serem enviados para a unidade de comando da carroceria. Neste caso,
apenas duas mensagens - Scania Bodywork Message 1 e 2 - so enviadas para a unidade de comando da carroceria com a unidade de comando X como endereo de origem.

A Scania no usa os conectores SAE J1939. A Scania usa cabos de pares torcidos
(torcidos 40 vezes por metro) sem proteo ou revestimento. As propriedades eltricas (resistncia, impedncia, capacitncia, etc.) esto definidas em SAE J1939-15
Physical Layer Light. A Scania usa uma rea transversal de 0,75 mm para cabos dentro da cabina e 1,5 mm no chassi. Os conectores CAN (e pinos ECU) fora da cabina
devem ser, de preferncia, chapeados de ouro. As seguintes cores e marcas so aplicveis aos cabos do barramento CAN externo: CAN_H deve ser azul e CAN_L deve
ser branco. Para evitar enganos, importante que os cabos mantenham suas cores durante a vida inteira do veculo. CAN low deve ser chamado de (marcado com)
CAN_L e CAN high deve ser chamado de (marcado com) CAN_H.
Nota:
Se a conexo rede externa s for efetuada dentro da cabina, a ponte instalada na fbrica do conector C259 pino 21 e C259 pino 20 ao conector C494 pino 6 e C494 pino
7 dever ser removida. Assim, no haver cablagem CAN desocupada e sem fim desde os conectores DIN no chassi (C487-6 e C487-7).
IMPORTANTE!
Nenhum outro conector ou barramento CAN pode ser conectado. Uma conexo incorreta pode fazer as funes normais do veculo se comportarem de maneira imprevisvel. Existe um risco de o veculo parar e ter que ser resgatado.

O comprimento dos cabos no pode exceder 30 metros (cabo principal) entre o conector C259 no caminho e a unidade de comando com o outro resistor de terminao. Se houver mais de uma unidade de comando conectada, o comprimento dos
cabos entre o cabo principal e a unidade de comando no pode exceder 3 metros. Os
cabos devem ser o mais curto possvel para assim minimizar o efeito da interferncia
eletromagntica. O nmero de unidades de comando na rede CAN externa no pode
exceder 9. A topologia essencialmente um cabo de barramento com os ns conectados ao barramento CAN com, no mnimo, 0,1 metro entre cada n. A figura mostra
o princpio da topologia da rede CAN externa.

O cabo de barramento CAN (cabo principal) deve ser conectado com um resistor de
120 Ohms em cada extremo, de acordo com SAE J1939-15 Physical Layer "Light".
Um resistor de terminao dividido (2 resistores e um capacitor) instalado na unidade
de comando da carroceria. Veja a figura abaixo. Tambm deve haver um resistor de
terminao na unidade de comando instalada o mais distante possvel da unidade de
comando da carroceria (veja a figura na pgina anterior). A Scania recomenda um
resistor de terminao dividido. Se a unidade de comando instalada o mais distante
possvel da unidade de comando da carroceria no estiver equipada com um resistor
de terminao interno, o resistor precisar ser conectado o mais prximo possvel da
unidade de comando (veja a figura).

Endereos de origem
A unidade de comando da carroceria tem um endereo no configurvel e envia mensagens com o endereo de origem 2E (Hex). Os endereos de origem da tabela 1 so
usados para mensagens enviadas do barramento CAN interno do veculo para o barramento CAN externo atravs da unidade de comando da carroceria. Esses endereos
no podem ser usados por outras unidades de comando na rede externa. O uso incorreto pode resultar em conflitos e funcionamentos incorretos na rede externa. A tabela
1 mostra apenas os endereos atualmente em uso, mas ser possvel adicionar endereos no futuro.
