ABSTRACT
Traumatic fibroma is also known as fibroepithelial polyp and
hyperplastic scar. The pathogenesis of this entity is related
to chronic trauma of the oral mucosa, mainly due to nibbling
on cheeks and lips. It can also be caused by poorly fitting
dentures, and dental restorations sharp cutting structure.
This condition occurs most often in adults.
Histologically, it is characterized by showing a lining
epithelium stratified squamous type remain intact; presenting friction hyperkeratosis by chronic low intensity bulbs ulceration or display when the trauma is severe.
The treatment is surgical enucleation and histological exa-

INTRODUCCIN
