Mahatma Gandhi
Mahatma
Gandhi
was
probably
one
of
the
most
notable
characters
during
Twentieth
Century.
He
was
born
on
October
2
in
1989
in
Porbandar-India
and
died
on
January
30
in
1948
in
Indian
Union.
He
was
a
thinker,
lawyer
and
politician.
He
promoted
and
defensed
the
fidelity
to
the
dictates
of
awareness,
inciting
the
civil
disobedience,
an
innovative
technique
for
protesting.
His
most
important
legacy
was
probably
his
no
violence
protest,
giving
him
the
chance
of
winning
the
Nobel
Prize
of
Peace
five
times,
but
without
winning
it.
He
belonged
to
a
commercial
family.
His
mother
was
a
big
influence
in
his
childhood,
by
teaching
him
that
he
shouldnt
hurt
any
living
beings.
He
wasnt
a
brilliant
student
while
living
in
India.
He
found
a
chance
to
study
laws
in
England.
When
he
ended
his
studies,
he
returned
to
India
where
he
couldnt
get
success
as
lawyer.
Some
years
later
he
got
a
job
in
South
Africa,
where
he
started
to
participate
in
protests
for
the
sake
of
Indian
people
living
in
that
country.
In
those
times,
he
started
to
study
about
a
lot
of
things
about
philosophy
and
religion.
He
suffered
a
lot
as
a
consequence
of
his
protests
together
his
wife.
However,
his
doctrines,
acquired
mainly
through
a
lot
of
books
from
Tolstoi,
and
Indian
author,
helped
a
lot.
When
he
returned
to
India,
he
already
had
changed
his
life
style
adopting
new
nutrition
and
health
culture.
He
was
very
charismatic.
A
lot
of
people
was
enchanted
by
his
life
style
and
they
used
to
respect
him
in
a
way
that
let
him
start
the
pacific
protest
that
freed
India
some
years
later.
Also,
along
with
his
doctrine
about
nutrition,
there
was
his
idea
of
never
going
to
doctors.
In
1944
his
wife
died
in
jail,
hurting
him
extremely.
However
in
1947
India
got
its
liberty.
This
moment
was
lived
by
him
like
any
other
moment
in
his
life.
In
January
of
1948,
while
going
to
a
reunion,
he
was
killed
by
Nathuram
Godse.
The
assassin
was
incited
by
the
oposition,
but
they
werent
punished
by
Indian
Justice.
Since
that,
Gandhi
has
been
considered
one
of
the
most
relevant
figures
of
the
spirituality
for
million
people
around
the
world,
but
there
is
also
people
who
consider
he
had
a
lot
of
controversy
around
his
practices
and
thinking
way.
As
many
others,
he
committed
several
errors,
however
his
hits
were
more
than
those
failures
and
the
balance
of
his
legacy
is
positive.
Over
all
the
things
he
did,
the
no
violence,
that
was
the
key
of
his
success,
has
inspired
several
campaigns
around
the
world,
increasing
his
legacy
and
giving
to
the
future
generations
the
proof
that
demonstrates
the
world
can
solve
its
problems
by
talking
and
not
by
fighting
and
that
there
is
not
room
for
colonies
neither
countries
where
people
dont
have
the
same
rights.
