engineering students of Bangladesh organized by CEE, IUT. CENNOVATION

About the photography contest CENNOVATION

Through Our Eyes:
The title CENNOVATION stands for civil & environmental innovation &
revolution. To honor our field, we are calling for photos that will represent
civil
engineering.
A picture is worth a thousand words. So draw a picture with your lens. Bring
out the hidden beauty of architecture, let the beauty of cityscape amazes us.
Show us how we are being selfish with the environment, bring the emotions
out, make a story and introduce us with the people working hard to make the
world livable.

Eligibility:
Entry for CENNOVATION Through Our Eyes is limited to only
university level students (up to graduation level)

Topics:
Any photos (portraiture, street etc.) that cover the topics
mentioned below are welcome:
i. Environmental Pollution (Causes & impacts)
ii. People behind the Scenes (Life of civil engineers, architects & workers)
iii. Art of Structure (Architectural beauty, cityscape)
iv. Urban Life ( any photos that resembles the field of civil engineering, like
roads, flyovers, traffic jams etc. )

Categories:
We have 3 categories for the entry:

Category A: Single Photo- Any photograph taken by a Camera (DSLR,

Compact or Action Camera)
*Must be 3000 pixel (photo dimension) on the longer side.
*Maximum 4 photos.
Category B: Mobile Photography- Any photograph taken by a Cell
Phone
*Must be 2500 pixel (photo dimension) on the longer side.
*Maximum 4 photos.
Category C: Series/Story- Any story or series of photographs with
description that covers the topics.
*Maximum 6 photos, Minimum 3 photos.

Rules of Entry:
1. All submitted photos must be the original work of the photographer.
2. A Photographer can participate in all categories or any two categories or
one category.
3. Every photograph should be renamed as follows:
For Category A & B"Photo Title_Participants Name_Name of the Category"
For example, Go Green_Arifin Islam_Category B

For Category CPhoto Serial_Participants Name_Name of the Category"

For example, 01_Arifin Islam_Category C (for the first photo & so on)

(N.B- You must attach a description about the photo story in a .doc file for Category
C.)

4. All photos must be submitted through the following email:

Category
*In case the file size exceeds 25mb- You can attach any sharing link like
dropbox/google drive link with the mail containing all required files or send photos
in separate emails, just make sure you write photo names, email subject properly.

6. Email attachments must havei) A .doc file (Including a) Name of the Participant
b) Institution
c) Phone Number
d) Present Address
*Name of the .doc file should be- Participants Name
ii) Photo of Student ID Card
7. The images can be Color or B&W, but must be at least 300 dpi resolutions,
in JPG format.
8. All sorts of photo manipulation, HDR, panorama, photo border and
watermark are strictly prohibited. Only basic retouch (color, temperature or
exposure correction) is allowed.
9. Please dont submit images that were submitted to the same competition
in previous years.
10. Any picture will be cropped according to the need for curation.
**PLEASE READ THE RULES CAREFULLY, ANY MISTAKE CAN LEAD TO
DISQUALIFICATION.

Participation Fee (If your photo gets selected):

600 taka for Category A & 300 taka for Category B (per photo).
1200 taka for Category C (per story)
